So I will just make this a quick story… I have a 03 GSXR 600 alstare… the 40th anniversary edition one… I was not home when this happened but from what my brother claims my dog was chasing a squirrel around the house like an idiot… then he hears a boom… he didn’t think much of it but when he went to go back into the house my dog had knocked over my bike and pretty much ate the seat and fairing off my bike. I am assuming the squirrel tried to hide in my bike to get away from my dog but my dog wasn’t having it. After pretty much crying for ever and almost passing out … I want to fix it but don’t know where to get cheap parts… especially the fairing for this bike. I would be interested in a Corbin seat just because I hear that they are not as thick and since I am only 5’2 anything will help.
So I am after:
Rt side alstare fairing
03 GSXR original seat or Corbin seat for that generation
Front brake lever
Searchtempest? Basically searches craigslist over a wider radius or across the country if you want. You might be able to find people parting out their bikes. Sucks to hear that happened, but how about some pics?
IMO it would be hard to fine a special edition fairing for your bike, you might have to just find a OEM one on ebay and get the replica stickers. Everything else on the other hand should be relatively easy to find.
Yes, rob has his own shop in west falls now. But there is literally a third of the fairing missing that my dog ate off the bike. So there is no just repainting a little piece of the fairing… He felt the worst about the situation because he is the one that let Max off his chain
thats the part number… it looks like its listed as the corona edition… but its oem and its around 450 -500 bucks… lol. live and learn. as for the seat… check ebay or googleshopping.
ya… i found a bunch that are the corona edition. but none that look like mine which upsets me even more. I looked for like 3 hours earlier. This sucks!
