And now I want to do my room  The trim around the outside still needs to be put down.

Kickback scandal brings down Canadian government

claro que si

You bought rugs???

No I lay down floor, sista.

that dude sure knows how to lay a floor

So how long did that entire room take to do? What are the room dimensions, and what procedure did you use to get the finished product?

Well, we sort of worked in shifts. Between my mom, my dad, and me, it took us from 12pm until 11pm.

Not sure on the dimensions. I think ti’s 14x17? Not really too sure. It’s not that big, really.

And the only real tools to mention that we used were a compound miter saw and a table saw. My mom decided she needed a table saw to rip the end boards. Actually i think she just wanted another gadget. Well really, we needed it. And they’re pretty cheap for your infrequent table saw.

Anyway, we plan to do all the bedrooms and the kitchen. Then it’s on to the new house on Honeoye Lake.

Damn, I need to learn how to do shit like this.

pergo/laminent flooring isn’t all that hard to do.

mostly everything is interlocking, and sometimes the most heavy duty tool you would need, would be a special type of nail gun you can rent at home depot, and learn to use in a few tries.

just measure twice and cut once

It is easy…once you think about it. Glad we ordered an extra box, haha.

Man, you laid some serious wood…

…Seriously though, looks nice. but you have a creepy house.

your floor pwns pretty hard :tspry:

Looks good. Is it Pergo or another brand?

That shits not cheap, but I plan on using it extensively in my future home.

werd.

we did my condo and were short a box. i forgot to figure in waste.

but we (myself a friend and my old man) layed out 600 sq ft of pergo in a day.

looks great.

did you guys use the stuff with the “wood” edges, or that cool shit with the metal edges?

i used the wood edged shit, it was nice… but the metal locking stuff we used on my rents kitchen was really cool.

I did the flooring with pergo floors at my friends house…it wasn’t that hard

all you need is playwood to lay down first, nail it down with a nail gun, then a foam mat and finally the pergo laminated wood…just like making a sandwich

They have stuff with metal edges? :jawdrop:I want.

I must say, the sweetest floor I saw was at the old Builder’s Square in Niagara Falls. It wasn’t pergo or real hard wood–it was actually ceramic tile that looked like wood. Of course it didn’t feel like wood. However, it was pretty saucy.

yea, the metal tabs slide/snap together A LOT easier than the other stuff.
