First line took a while, had to measure and find out how “not square” my condo was.

Also, I needed to cut around the radiators and such - and it needed to line up perfect, otherwise the rest would be all screwed up.

Anyway - more to be laid today, after I get off work. :violin:

be real… was this easy to do???.. i have a 24x26 room that i want to do but have not started b/c i think its hard work

and it looks great… how is the rest of the place comming along

i love laying pipe even more than laying wood.

It’s not “easy” but it’s far from hard. A couple buddies helping you out should be good. Warning - don’t feed them too much alcohol, otherwise you might get a crooked floor lol (we were drinking huge cups of vodka while we were doing this, got a little tipsy)

Patience is very very key…

but it could be done by … well … me … yea i can see how drinking could change a few things… im going to look at this junk at lowes soon it needs to get done in my house

Be careful at lowes, they have cheap shit, but you have to buy decent “inexpensive” stuff.

They have engineered wood too, that has a MUCH thicker top layer that you can actually sand down - but it’s also at least 2x as much. When you’re talking hundreds of sq ft, you’re talking a lot of money lol.

Seriously, you need at least 2 people to do this, because you have to connect ALL of the laminate row and with a second set of hands, it tends to go in a lot better, a lot straighter…

yea… they had a crazy 70% off sale on this stuff a few months ago. some dark ass color and i need about 550 sqft/500sqft what ever 21 boxes were… and it still was going to run me about $600 less tax to do it… the house is to big thats what we are running into now… yea 600 is still a good deal …it works out to like $1.09 a ft… cheeper then anything else IMO

mmm interlocking pergo

fun

WTF 1.09 a sq ft?

WTF.

i think its right… the boxes were like $28 somethign a box after sale …norm price was 70 or 75 … i really dont rember at all… i rember it was a big sale and i needed 21 boxes they only had 15 for that price… and if i wanted the other boxes i have to get them from a diff store…

edit

it was this shit

yeah we hired someone to do our living room, which is almost 400 sq. feet.

Upon clicking this thread I had high expectations to see some dirty and nasty vids or even pictures at the least of you pounding vag.

lol better chance find a pic on myspace

 went there

 it is a 1 bagillion% upgrade to the previous flooring.

So, its laminate, but it doesnt look like its going on anything but padding? Did you lay down plywood first or something? It looks really thick for laminate alone. Or, what it actually looks like is plywood with laminate on it cut into strips? I can’t think of any more questions, I don’t think? I am going for a record do you think I am close? etc? etc?

edit: did you try looking at that bamboo flooring? its not too costly and looks pretty stellar, our kitchen is bamboo floorz

wayy Ot but yo babymama has a doc apt next week are you going…

ok back on topic

Nice!. I went with laminate in my hallway, and bathroom. The kitchen and living room were all ready done by the previous owner.

Installation was literally a snap. The hardest part IMO was measuring and shaping the pieces that needed to be up against a wall or door or whatever.

Hey Daddie did you make sure to leave a small expansion gap between the wall and flooring?

Yeah, about 1/4"

i got real wood floors installed in my upstairs cost 7k expensive but looks good and is easier to maintain than carpet

Yeah, I can’t do real wood, well I could but it would be stupid expensive.

Reason it was so expensive cause we choose santos mahagony which comes from like brazil or something so it was more than the other woods. Plus we didnt install it so labor costs. But it really makes the difference in a room. Same with crown molding , that can really bring a room to life also.
