so, what do you tell a customer who calls and says:
“my DHCP lease expired, but I just purchased the server?”

Offer to renew it for him for $19.95 a month
Bill him for a new one
“Die.”
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Awesome!!! Offer him a 3 year protection plan too for future conflicts.
wow…
SO, umm… what did you say?
I explained that this was something related to their network configuration and to contact his IT dept. Should they need help, they are welcome to contact me directly.
I still would have told him to renew for $20 a month. I’d have him set up a recurring paypal payment then be like “OK, I’ve authorized your renewal, hit the ‘Renew’ button now.”
I did think about saying “I can give you the renewal code for a small fee” but I decided I want to keep my job.
LOL. “In order to purchase your renewal you must first type ipconfig /renew and your DHCP lease woes will be taken care of automatically for a small maintenance fee of $20/month.”
