So last night I’m coming to the intersection at Calgary Trail and 23rd and I’m sitting at the stop line when from my left two 240’s decide it would be cool to do a nice tandem drift heading towards whyte ave. I guess the 3 drift sessions a week and the demos and all the other events that there is for the drifters in the city isn’t enough :roll:. Love watching our passions get an awesome rep :finger. I mean what if there was someone walking across the street there!

Street drifting doesn’t bother me. It’s when people do it in traffic where people can get hurt that I have an issue with it. People need to learn some restraint.

Umm actually I don’t, it’s a criminal offense, when I was younger yeah I did, but it doesn’t mean it’s not stupid or wreckless. but goin in a straight line at the same speed as going side ways through an interesction is really comparable.

dont get me wrong, I dont mind someone sliding a corner or two at non-populated areas but tandem into whyte ave turn ?! Thats just stupid, matter of time before someone sideswipes few people on a busy corner and all of us get the shaft in the ass from the law…

Makes sence to me. There is a little difference between a industrial area and a street with people and cars.

Ohh and I dont think it was the turn to go onto whyte from calgary trail (you cant turn there right now because of construction) I think he is talking about the one down by south edmonton common. They were turning north from 23ave.

I’m not trying to discredit other judged sports at all. Just saying it doesn’t interest me, and like you say, it’s damn stupid to do on the street.

Yea you can thank Shitty Video editing for that. They asked me if street racing will ever end, and will events like this stop it. They made me come across as a street racer. Oh well.

And the corner at calgary trail and 23rd is not that bad. At night you have a turn arrow, there will be no other traffic, 3 or 4 lanes wide, no curbs.

But i still don’t condone it but i will fully admit i have done that corner before. All i am saying is that going around a corner like that is ALOT safer than doing a 1-2-3 gear pull on calgary trail.

to bad we didnt hit the advance on the move…that intersection is hard to time with all the innosect lives at risk…lol (p.s they werent 240sx’s :stuck_out_tongue: )
