Original lip depth… notice what a bit of Buffalo salt does to a spun finished wheel.
Original tire mounting rim width was 9.5"
After it was cut and a band located and tacked in:

I havent decided on a coating but I was thinking a vapor deposition process with Black Chrome. Wheels are home for mounting 335/30/18 Michelin Pilots and then fitting on the car. The coating will be the last step. The final rim mounting width is 12.5". The lip depth is a cunt hair over 5".
Not possible unless I was spending $4500 -$5000. Even then I was not getting the finish I was looking for.
I reseached wheels for almost a year, literally. I found no styles that I liked that ALSO had the option of being 12 inches wide. I went through Weds, Work, Volk, Advan, SSR, you name it. VERY few manufacturers offer wheels that wide.
My specifications were:
Must be 12 inches or wider
Must have at least a 5" lip
Must be 5x114.3
Must be a offset that will clear large calipers.
Must be a style that I like
Must be finished in a way that I like
These wheels HAD to be custom made. They were also a lot less then $5000.
335 … did I forget to mention that the wheels dont fit the car in its current layout. The car has to be widened by 2-3" on both sides to fit these monsters. Since this is NOT a tractor I will not be doing any gay flare bullshit. I will actually be reducing the current flares and widening the entire car. That was all part of my evil plan tho
