So you think you have deep dish?

Some clean looking dishes you got there

I don’t know if they have street suitable applications, but they certainly could fit the specs…

I am getting a set of the 13" S5s just like the ones pictured for the Miata. They will never see street use though.

Something to consider in a few weeks when you are tired of these new wheels, since you have admitted to being a bit of a wheel whore…

Yes I am a cheap wheel slut. I have never seen that company before. Their prices are excellent. The center sections they offer dont really strike me as fitting a Mustang well style wise. The other problem is their outer sections are of the stepped lip design… I need a flat one. Great choice for other members tho.

Hmm, cut floor pan, push back section of car out 10 icnhes wider, reweld floor section.

One question, did Queen Latifa contact you at any point during this?

the only thing I liked about those pictures
was that one with the cream cheese in it.

still not sure WHY you’d want them that freekin’ deep…

Its not nearly that easy. You cannot just widen the back because it has to blend into the rest of the body lines … otherwise it would look incredably stupid.

The blending work would require stretching and shaping the metal which I am no expert at. Im trying to find a old school hotrodder that is a artist with a torch. If that doesnt pan out I will widen the entire car.

Im not touching the floor. Going to cut around the perimiter of the doors seperating them into 2 pieces. I will then weld a band close to the skin side to thicken the door by 2 inches. The quarters will be cut off and receive the same treatment. The taillight buckets will stay with the quarters and move out as well. The trunk lid will require glass work (its already all fiberglass) to fill the gap made by moving the lamps. The back bumper will be widened using a plastic welder and filler sections from a second, identical bumper. It will also be “frenched” by tucking in in closer to the car and making it half as thick. The stock bumbers stick out much too far and look like shit IMO. Im going to nip and tuck the front as well.

Since the car now has a IRS I was seriously considering modifing the back bumper to include a diffuser and matching pan that extends well under the IRS and well into the car. I have a lot of work planned and dont think I will have time to play with details such as this at this point.

The fenders should be simple compared to the rest. The only thing I havent figured out is what to do about the front bumper, headlights, and weather I want to keep the width and blend or widen the nose. Ill be increasing the wheelbase by 1.5" through front suspension mods so the fenders might need additional massaging.

I have too many goddamn ideas and not enough time/money.

makes my penis bigger

that is sick, i wanna know how u plan on widening ur car tho, pics pls

sir, you and i must chat some time, we shall plan the easiest way to do this

i like this project … ALOT , and have alot of basic ideas on how to widen the car already

i like this project already

I will do a writeup with pics for everyone but this is a pretty big project. It absolutely has to be done right. Once I take a saw to this car Im totally committed. I have spent months thinking about it and trying to figure out the best approach and basically if I really want to invest the time and money. Drdos did the smart thing and bought a nice car. I REALLY should do the same. I just know its going to aggravate the crap out of me driving a stock car. Im a freak and I dont think I could handle it for long. Besides I can be pretty damn creative and the whole customizing thing is like a artform to me. I love it. Whats a artist if he doesnt paint any paintings. :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance:

Gosh you must have been pretty small before.

luckily that has never been a problem. some guys get ino contests and what not. I just say break out the tape measure and we will find out right here and know. I keep it simple.

Did those start out as real SSR GT3s? Or did you buy knock-offs?

Either way, looks HOT

interesting pictures, good work tho

they look better on the car
