So...

no doubt… live it up dude

Until the bill comes.

haha i know that feel… currently, just sort of different

your date is for 2011? I didn’t realize that, I feel stupid.

<I get more and more jealous every time I read this thread. lol

Yea, we got engaged Nov 2009. I have no idea how anyone can do it in under a year unless it’s a small wedding. I can barely keep up with the details now.

Laugh.

Well, she just bought a dress at Klenfelds in Manhattan. She filmed for about 5 1/2 hours and only tried on 4-5 dresses there. I tried to ask misc. questions to get any idea as to what she bought but she is too smart. They filmed 5.5 hours and will only air probably 10 minutes max. We are currently discussing them filming part of the wedding which I am not cool about.

We already have 3 photographers and a videographer. Too many people and I don’t want to be on TV.

I’m worried how this will all go down.

^ So she will be on Say Yes To the Dress  That’s pretty amazing that she only tried on 4-5 dresses too, I bet it will be gorgeous.

Yep.

She tried on 4-5 in 4.5 hours of filming. But, she went to a few other places. I have a feeling she isn’t 100% on it which bothers me given the cost of these dresses. I’ll feel it out more. I only had two “desires”: White/Ivory and I really like Corset back.

Ahhh that is awesome! I looove that show ( and so does Wayne). I can’t wait to see her on it, you’ll have to let us know when it airs  I hope she ends up happy with the dress, I can only imagine how much it was coming from Klinfelds!!!

Correction I <3 the hot ass girls on that show.

I think it was like $5K or so. From the show, that’s not even in the middle…

Her consultant was Debbie and she met Nicole, Joan, the female co-owner, Eva (I believe). No Randy.

Time is flying. I have been completely swamped at work. I am the lead engineer on a new application that was actually deployed last night. I finished at 9AM this morning. Exhausted.

As of now, I have lost about ~50LBS and had to start buying new clothes as my old ones didn’t fit at all. I hate shopping so it sucks to spend my only freetime buying shit that I already own.

Anyhow, Crystal has been officially promoted at her job to “Manager” which is fantastic for her but she is still working outrageous hours. That’s life I guess.

We had our engagement photoshoot at Brooklyn Bridge 2 weeks ago and should have the pictures monday after UPS finally delivers them. Crystal bought shoes today for the wedding. She said her mom is paying for it yet it was our credit card… I have to find out what happened there… Those were pricey fucking shoes.

We decided on the Save The Date cards (or at least I think we did) but still going back and forth with the Invitations. We also decided on Italy for the honeymoon but I am trying to get out of first class and spending a ridiculous amount on the tours. I am not willing the battle. That’s about it. Moving right along.

thats funny that you were thinking about Italy for your honeymoon. Me and my girl just got engaged a little over a month ago and were getting married september 11’ and we thought Italy would also be a good honeymoon spot but there is sooo many places in the world that we want to go to so its going to take alot of thought…

congrats on everything.

Idk if were doing save the date cards. in fact i really dont know much. essentially gave my CC (sort of)to the fiance and told her to tell me when to show up and ill be there. :lol this wedding planning shit gets annoying quick. Actually gotta meet with the DJ and florist on tuesday… next year will be here quick! :ohnoes

EDIT: btw congrats on everything!

Congrats. I don’t recall you getting engaged? Maybe I missed the thread?

A lot of places to go but the EURO is cheaper now so it makes more sense to go there. We also have family there. But, yea, Italia is gorgeous and should make for a fantastic vacation.

We are lucky to not use credit at all. It sucks that the wedding venue doesn’t except credit (have to pay tax too) so I needed to have plenty of cash on at all times.

Save The Date is more important for us because it’s an out of town wedding for our family as they don’t live here.

DJ was very important to us. We have a NYC club DJ and I made sure he can mix and he is very sound. Very psyched on that.

Florist… Well, it’s probably more for the females but I really got involved. You can get robbed there so be careful.

I didnt make a thread, thats why you didnt see it lol

but as far as a DJ goes, thats the same route we are going. We havent looked too much into it yet but we already booked the place were getting married and such…just need to wrap up some other odd’s and ends.

Shit. This has consumed my life and you are wrapping it up?

DJ is very important to me as it is the main form of entertainment for most weddings. I never understood why people choose it based on personality. I don’t want to hear the person speak except for the few announcements. Go to ANY real club in the world and you won’t find some guy that dumps song after song on top of one another. There is a pattern and a flow which starts with solid song transitions. Very key.

this is exactly how we feel.

also, we arent doing any speeches or any of the worst. Its a straight 20 minute, will you marry me stuff, kiss the bride, done and over with. Just said vows.

ok now lets go to the 5 hour open bar, cocktail hour, dance floor with the dj, dinner etc…then after hours we are having bomb fires on the beach and then whoever is staying has the choice of staying in a cabin or a lodge right on the property

Where is the venue?
