I just got dave briggs’ subframe and it’s a bit scraped from rocks i guess or what have you that one of the braces has lost its paint. Don’t want to have this rust on me so I am wondering who does it locally and how much would it cost? How long is the wait time etc…
I got it done and I gotta say brithside coating did an amazing job. Charged me 140$, blasted, heavily zinc coated against rust and shinier thicker powder coat than anything from the factory Looks better than coming out of factory lol.
Two thumbs up for these guys. Only pain in the ass was driving all the way the whitby…
But Mike is off to a business trip to like China or something I forget. Another guy that deals with the powder coating is Rob that’s who I was with today. Also another older guy by the name of Lou does their upholstery he may pick up too.
Nice stuff… I wish I had asked around here about powdercoating when I did my R32 calipers last year. They looked amazing when I got em done but after about 8-9 months, the coating is heavily cracked (dirt/grease brings out the cracks) and chipping in chunks in some areas. Never go to Midwest calipers for powdercoating…
I’ve done a number of these this season! Feel free to PM me through the Facebook page as I’m not on here very often. The one posted above looks excellent! Lots of very good options out there for coatings!
