Its so typical nowadays to get a 240, get a sr20 and add 1 & 1. well to start off i hate the sr20! period. so ive decided to make something else as my spring car while my red 240 gets rebiut and preped for turbo.
Well here it is, my official build thread for my Grey 240sx. Nicknamed “The Nasty”, because that’s exactly what it is. To start off it’s a 1989 240sx Leather Edition. But the previous owner(s) took out the leather seating. In an attempt to “rice it out”, they put in a cobra racing seat in the driver side which dosnt fit when upright. The passenger side has a s14 (95-98) seat that dosnt match the car at all. The rear seats are out of a 93 blue interior 240sx. So as u can see the only thing left to make it a leather edition is the wing. Other than that is practically a base model. Manuel everything, no sunroof and Automatic so lets review quick

I have chosen to get a 1.8T (ca18det) I Bought the motor for very cheap, i drove the car it was in before getting rear ended. I havent decided if its gunna be a track car, or what yet only thing i know its gunna be used in the spring. so for now im trying to get the sohc running so i can sell it to a guy with a '90 hardbody p/u. the Setup wont have a/c but will have p/s.Its getting, headers, 3" exhaust all the way, test pipe, AEM intake. and bigger injectors. and a FMIC. altogether about 195whp. (hopefully more) w/o upgrading the turbo (Remember its 175hp stock with no intercooler)
My plans this weekend are to
-Completely clean the interior
-Take front seats out, and replace them with the seats from my coupe.
-And if I get around to it, replace one of the chain guides in the engine (about a 2 hour job)
-And if I have nothing to do after that ill take it to the carwash down the road, and degrease EVERYTHING under the hood. (about an hour)
and none of that get pics or ban crap…lol im busy and I’ll Get pics up tonight, when I get every thing together on my new laptop.
i didnt get as far as i hoped, i cleaned my red 240 in and out, and replaced a headlight along with a bunch a stuff i had to do. but enough of my rambling ON WITH THE PICS!!!

Thanks for the lsd, i cleaned it up today and it looks great, its no longer floating in diff oil japenese newspaper. lol.
i took the passenger side seat out, went to strip the trunk if carpet, and the spare tire hole, is all rusted, i cleaned it up the best i could for now, still gotta take a sander to it once i get the time. the interior carpet looks so new, im very impressed, all orginal, and it looks amazing for a 89. trunk lid has got some rust where the foam spoiler is (most common rust spot on a 240). thats it for today, ill put pics up in the morning.
ya im converting it, i got all the parts, just waiting on the slave cylinder. im in a rush to strip the car, i gotta get it out of my garage before wednesday, when they re-do the roof.
But as kind of a update with no pics, i striped the whole back interior of the car, theres rust in the donut hole so instead of fixing it, im gunna cut it out and just put a picece of sheet metal over it, i took the passenger side seat out, i started on the engine alittle bit to get bit running. The timing chain giude broke so i gotta fix that and degrese the motor when i get it on the road soon.
yea its still forsale. i got a friend willing to give me 600 along with all the stock parts he needs/wants. and another for 400 for just the car. ill know this weekend whats up with both of them. thanks for your interest in the car. and thanks steve
