Hey Rocket, I sent you a text message, if you’re number is still the same. Local businesses are rip-offs so I’m trying to tackle all my winter work myself. I’ve done chain and sprockets before, so that’ll probably get done next weekend. Swapping all my brake lines for Fren Tubo type 2’s soon, but, the big thing is my forks. Never ever ever touched forks before and I want to tackle redoing my seals and fresh oil myself. I know you’re the suspension guru so if I could maybe take a few hours of your time on a weekend day for you to show me how it’s done, I’d appreciate it, feel free to name your price. This way, I will know how to do it for the future. I figure I can even just take off the forks here and can go to your place to make it easier on you.

Also, what tool do you recommend for forks? I was recommended to get the Fork Service Tool Kit here: http://www.traxxion.com/racingsportbikeservicetools.aspx

Actually I just got your message.

I never worked on my forks, I just tune it myself. For the sv I sent them out to be built. For the R6, they were done at procycle, it was really not that expensive when I just bring the forks to them. If you are not updating your fork’s valving, I guess you could service them yourself. All you need is the service manual, seal driver, something to unscrew the cartridge.
