That is because its a basically a cobalt with HIDS. Newer Saab’s are alright I suppose. There are just far too many GM design influences when you step into them for my taste.
This was the last year for the “real” 9-5, its still a Saab.
In 06 the 9-5 went the way of the 9-3 and became GMed.
At least they don’t use that HALF turbocharged V6 anymore.
Does the current 9-5 still date back to the Type Four chassis (9000/164/Thema/Chroma), or is it based on a GM platform?

I belive it is based on a GM platform, but I dont think that it is shared with anything other than the Opel vectra.

I had one for a rental when my 9-3 was in the shop for a couple weeks.
The seats were amazing and the 2.3T V6 or whatever was under the hood pulled strong.
Nice buy. I am still waiting to drive the new 9-5, which has been super hyped.
