someone shot themselF at the casinoooo

About the guy who killed himself, there was another guy last year who jumped off the parking ramp to kill himself, and the seneca’s pushed it under the rug.

My buddy works for them, thats what he told me.

Anyways, what a sad odd scene that must have been.

The guy shoots himself, I bet people were literally stepping over his body to get to the slot machine. People are fucking gambling zombies in there.

As for my opinion on the casino, I really have no interest in going. It has a certain entertainment value, but I’m just not interested in it.

I really hope the falls reaps some benefit out of it, as the area is in the shitter.

I don’t see restaurants and stuff popping up around the casino, because the casino squashes establishments, because they offer those same services inside the casino, why would people walk across the street.

Case in point that pizza hut right next to the casino, thats closed, after being open there for as long as I can remember.

A year or so ago, I looked at the job openings at the casino, and there are plenty of 7-9 dollar per hour jobs, but nothing more that I seen.

o shit yes

im suprised this doesnt happen more pften

Soo many cameras at casinos …

I cant wait for a vid to leak out and end up on youtube

entourage = some good shit!

i understand what you guys say about the casino taking away from smaller local businesses. however, where would you want to work? a small fast food chain or family establishment restaurant? or the big casino, with possible benefits and potential to move up?

that’s really the key - there ARE a lot of better positions at the casino, but you just have to work hard and make an impression to get into them.

LOL @ joe losing his bankroll even after winning.

My question is… after the news broke on this, people were asking why there isn’t a metal detector on the way into the casino.

Now they do have signs at the entrances stating no firearms. But I’m going to say, why put metal detectors in? Go to Vegas. There are NONE at any of their casinos. Wide open entrances for people to come and go. Some casinos don’t even have front doors. This kind of incident can happen anywhere… a mall, a school, a house, a parking lot. Just because there is a metal detector at the door, doesn’t make it much safer. Isn’t it too much about people living in fear? Next time you hear of a shooting at a major mall, are we going to have to put metal detectors at EVERY entrance?

Enought of my rant… Just wanted to pose the question.

Truth. Good rant. School shootings up the ass the past few years. Find me one public school in the burbs with a metal detector.

i went to nt we had minimum 3 armed cops at all times so im sure other schools had some type of protection in the burbs but it doesnt matter where you are if someone wants to get a gun in they will metal detector or no metal detector
There’s no security. They just check your ID to make sure you’re old enough.
Actually I was going to apply there for An armed guard job they had opened

Well I mean there IS security, but they just check the age on your ID and react to problems. As mentioned, there no metal detectors or any other screening.

You guys don’t need another casino in Buffalo, they need to build a casino in Rochester for us guys that are inbetween Seneca Niagra and Turning Stone!

So you won’t drive an hour to go to a casino? :mamoru: Further evidence that casino’s are for taking locals’ money. Thanks!

Hmmm NT, I wonder why the had 3 cops

Wow, look at all the jobs the Seneca Niagara created! We should do this in Buffalo!

Oh, wait. Unemployment went up. :ohnoes:

Assuming that data is accurate anyways. I got it from here. I have no idea if it’s a credible website or not.

^ Like I said, the casino is not a magic bullet, it’s a start. NF is/was very far gone and it’s going to take a long time for anything to turn it around.

And lol at the, “Well, some major industry would be better than a casino”. Well no shit. That attitude is why Buffalo is the way it is. Lets sit on our ass and wait for some miracle deal to drop into our lap.

BTW, saw on this news this morning that the guy who killed himself was seeing one of the dealers there, and she had just broken up with him. So much for your “gambling ruined his life” arguement. Put the blame where it belongs… on the bitches.

um no …i am a security guard there and that was never posted as a job… the only thing close to that would be the seneca marshals… who only have billy clubs

Well thought out arguments on NYSpeed .:jawdrop:

You make good points. I just think that rather than only doing a little good, a casino would do harm. Either way it’s probably coming so I hope I’m wrong.

There’s one we agree on! You can’t live with em. You can’t shoot em.
