Someone to straight pipe a TDI jetta

I have a 2003 VW jetta diesel… I want to run a straight pipe from the turbo back…
If anyone can fab up a flange for the turbo and just a straight pipe all the way back for cheap I’d be interested.

Shoot me a PM if you can

:banghead:

it’s a diesel, a straight pipe won’t make it loud at all…

This.

This is gonna sound like the school bus.

Not really at all… Most of the noise coming from the car comes from the engine…not the exhaust…

I’ve heard plenty of straight piped vw diesels and they are not loud at all…

I think I may have better luck going to a muffler shop or something…

Most muffler shops will not remove any cats if your car is currently equipped with them.

these cars sound great strait piped, not too loud but you can hear the turbo spool.

i took my tdi to muffler man and they straight piped it no problem. i had them do a side exit behind the driver side rear door.

 DO IT!

That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard…no offense, but srsly? Ever heard a straight piped Cummins? It’ll make your ears bleed. My truck has a muffler on it and it’s louder than 90% of the vehicles on the road.

cummins /= tdi vw.

I’ve ridden in a tdi with no exhaust on a few occasions, really not loud.

I’ve heard some cummins with stacks that made my head hurt.

theres a big difference between your cummins and a 2.0 tdi motor.

His quote implies that diesels in general are not loud straightpiped

but he specified in his thread title that its a TDi.

It’s going to be louder than stock, which means it’s illegal in NY. And he’s someone the cops are already watching all the time.

I owned a cummins ram,
I know they are loud as shit with any aftermarket exhaust, but I was not saying all diesels are quite.

I was referring to my car, which is a VW tdi. A vw tdi straight piped is more quite than its gas counterpart with an aftermarket exhaust.

Walker, how much did they charge…and did you just do a cat back?

you looking for just regular mild steel or stainless? I might be interested in doing it either way

eh, i’d like to see the difference in price for the stainless and regular…as I will be driving it in the winter so I don’t want it to rust out…

Would you just do the cat back, or could you fab up a downpipe as well?

PM me if you’d like.

i did a cat back and they charged 75 bucks.

oh and its not loud at all.
