Flipping through a Summit catalog at dinner, I saw a Merlin big block that makes 700HP for ~$13500.
What amazes me, is that you can purchase a late model Camaro/Mustang and make 700HP for that same cost, INCLUDING THE PRICE OF THE CAR, heh.
Yeah, I understand that you could gas/FI the Merlin, but still, I’ll take the late model car and all the creature comforts that it includes.
Things have came a long way in the last 20 years!

400whp used to be cutting edge a few years ago for a local to have in an import such as a Honda.
Now it’s merely “joining the fun” and being a warm up for big boys.

this will probably be something that is always changing. i wouldn’t be surprised that it wont be long before that base design for a big block is out dated and the late model technology will evolve throughout all the big hp engines
