Well my father runs a fleet of ice cream trucks and we really have not tryed to many things with music because we usually just buy a music box that already has a song on it but we want to try something different. We want to use a normal car cd player and play a cd and have it play over a loud speaker. i know how to hook up the cd player i just dont know how to get it loud enought to play and be heard in the speaker. the speaker looks like one of those megaphone type things. The connectors coming out of the Speaker is 2 wires go into 1 rca type connection. So my question is how would i wires this all up to be able to play loud? Would i need anything besides Cd player and speaker and some wire? any help would be great. i did not do to much research on google because i really did not know what to look for.
if the connection is just rca, you can probably just hook it to the rca outputs on the back of the cd player… assuming the speaker has it’s own built in amp.
you could just wire one up and see how loud it is… if it’s not loud enough for your liking, then consider an amp?
:bloated:
don’t forget about that whole stereo/mono thing
I had one in my car before like 12 years ago, I hooked it up straight to my amp. It was loud as fuck, I would drive down the street and blast smack my bitch up, people would cover their ears because it was so loud. When I would hit pause you could hear it echo.
