Obviously Justin is gonna win
Why do you think he made this post?
Is there anyone on SON besides him with a car pushing upwards of 300hp?
Side note:
I’m in.

If the GT-R can play too, even if it’s fully stock only a heavily done up 240 is up to the task. Being a believer in the S car, I put my money on Adam still, from what I’ve read on his site, that car can hawl.
justin and i have had bets going since last year before he even got his car…
ill be after him…
GT
werd to that
my buddy nate has haltech and sold his T3/04 for something bigger for his SR…lol
Was he the one running 20 seconds passes last year?? If so I don’t think a bigger turbo is going to help.
While I don’t doubt that Justin stands an exellent chance of taking the top spot there is no reason to think just because you ‘only’ have a 240 that you can’t whip a skyline. Most of the AWD launch advantage can be tossed out the window if you are running a nice wide drag radial or slick of some sort. With all the building that’s been going on in the last few months there should be a few cars running +300hp. It should be a fun summer.
So then why do you post on torontostreetracing.com ???

Yeah, because everyone has slicks on here…

The same reason you post on SON. Pure entertainment value.
Bone stock 16 year old Skyline would be an appetizer for a tuned turbo 240.
Stock the R32 runs high 14s. Cayuga is very sticky ever since they did the 2nd refinish. With good tires, you’d have to dump the R32 at about 6,000 and pray it doesn’t bog.
I’d be down for a drag day … but “fastest on SON” should be reserved for some kind of a track day.
SON only Gymkhana day even. There’s gotta be a go kart track in the boonies that would let us rent the track for a day.
Not to take ANYTHING away from the guys starting to crack 13s or even high twelves … that’s fast for a 240, but slow for a drag car. We’d all get killed by the one guy that shows up in a V8 Silvia with $800 invested in it.
Let the cars shine doing what Nissan originally intended - going fast AND turning.
Sounds like fun…I hoping to be in the 300 range by spring too.
Bone stock? Who said anything about bone stock?
High 14s?!
I don’t know where you get the drugs you have been smoking… but the only way a GTR is running high 14s stock… is if it’s in reverse.
Plus I don’t really have any intention of building my GTR for drag. I might slap a nice set of tires on the 300 though for a few races if I still have it.
At this rate I don’t even know WHAT car I’m going to have… I might even end up with. But definately a tuned 240 would be a good match for either of my cars. Hell all it takes is a Civic with 200HP to find traction, and I’m toast.
Yea, but Justin, your car is pimp, so even if its not the fastest thing around, its totally badass.
:werd:
A stock R32 GT-R should run close to a 13 flat, not high 14s. This one is clearly not new, but it still wouldn’t drop that low. And that’s assuming it’s stock, R32 GT-R with bolt-ons can be an 11 sec daily driver (I actually know of a R32 GT-R with no internals done whatsoever and stock twin turbo that runs 11s on pump gas and street tires, I’ll find the article when I get home if you don’t believe me)
Cool, buy it.
Come to the CIAS and bring that 24 you owe me (Check out the car(s) while you’re there.)
My post was to DETS14, not Solarian.
And it’s nice to see someone has done their research before acting like they know things.
fastest should be broken down into 3 events , drag/track/solo if it’s just drag then any schmoo, like mr200 can bring out a BBC , with 305’s and win…
Fastest should mean, fastest everywhere. hadling/cornering and acceleration.
If that’s the case then I’ve got a TT FC that will be ready for all takers…
woop!!
Yeah this is true, because a car built for circuit racing, won’t necessarily care about .25 Mile times.
I guess I somewhat meant fastest in a straight line. (Seeing as I don’t know many people who are going to see a circuit course this year)
I look forward to seeing some of you at the track… especially when I get bigger snails.
Rotorkami, do you know any of the guys from CAN-SAF Auto in Oshawa… I might be cruising around sometime with them in the summer, if you know them you should come out and shoot the shit.
So then why do you post on torontostreetracing.com ???
I post on TSR because the average maturity level is about 16, rather than on here where its 12.
if we combined all those elements into the contest then you reduce the imprtance of the actual car and increase the importance of the driver skill.
i am not saying that is good or bad, but it would make more sense if we had similar experience and interest in it.
in the end it will be the fastest driver on SON, not the fastest car…
i say you have to have a license for this as well, that way sasha cant compete and we all move up a spot.
My car is slow. Greg will be fastest this year I think. Adam H is fast too.
Horay for 240s. Justin no matter what you do, some turbo civic will own
you.
