Sony Grand Wega 50" 1080p Projection TV - $1200

Posting for a friend. Was copy/pasted from his Craigslist ad. The TV is badass.

This tv is currently valued at around $1600 new through plasma bay

I am selling my Sony Projection TV (model KDS-50A2000). It is a little over one year old and is in perfect working condition. I have the origional remote, receipt, and bookwork to go along with the tv. I also purchased a 2 year warranty (with about 1 year remaining) for an additional $300 through circuit city. This warranty covers replacement lamps and if the tv itself would ever break, they will replace it with a new one.

$800?

nice TV’s

is it the bravia or the regular KDS
your discription is a little deciving.
your model # is a regular 50" 1080p WEGA SXRD KDS but the link is for a 1080p Bravia KDS

the bravia KDS were 3000 series… & a little more pricy
50" = Bravia KDS 50A3000
55" = Bravia KDS 55A3000
60" = Bravia KDS 60A3000

the regular KDS is
50" = KDS 50A2000 or KDS 50A2020 (all black case)
55" = KDS 55A2000 or KDS 55A2020 (all black case)
60" = KDS 60A2000 or KDS 60A2020 (all black case)

I did a lot of research, looking, reading before my last purchase a few months ago…& due to Sony discontinuing all rear projection LCD’s including SXRD’s(silicone crystal refelctive display) the prices have come WAY down.
Samsung is doing the same thing…discontinuing all DLP.
this is all due to the popularity of flat panels…they want to focus on that now.
persoanlly i think its stupid because these TV’s are just as good or better then a lot of flat panels…but its not the “in thing”

anyway…

you can get a brand new 50" KDS SXRD retail for $1000-$1300 new…depending on seller
Bravia is a little more $1200-$1500 new.

so depending on what you have…you might want to adjust you price to be realistic.

i’m not trying to be a dick…just letting you know the link or model # is wrong & you might have to adjust the price due to the market.

if its a Bravia (KDS 50A3000) realistically id say $900-1000 is max.
if its a KDS 50A2000 id say 700-750 max.

sad part about it is…yrs ago (3-4) when the SXRD technology came out…these TV’s were $3K+
i remember looking @ them & drooling back when i got my 1st HDTV

but due to advancements in technolgy & the popularity & growth of flat panels the price has come WAY down.
I know it might be tough to swallow but $1200 is too much.
