Just minding my own business in my station wagon, 2 kids in the back seat, and a hatchful of groceries, enjoying my air conditioning. Bet you never expected rapidly-disappearing 4-ring wagon-ass.
I suppose I should copy this story a few times for the random unsuspecting C4 Vette guys from the past few weeks (not with the kids on the car though).
At least the kids had a chance to wave at Crossfire guy. No worse salt in a wound than a 9 year old girl hysterically giggling at your somewhat cute, but not-fast car. Well, at least for the second that he was able to see her.
Heh…my wife…it’s even better when we line up against each other.
Or when she’s driving my car, and ruins Z28 driver’s day because it was like she threw a tow-rope on his back bumper as he’s trying to show off and disappear.
Nice.
Did you find one of the semi-rare 6 speeds?
I could have sold you one cheap because it runs like crap.(misfire on 6 and 3)
I changed the coil packs and plugs now I need to leave it up to the experts.
Expect a phone call soon. (I will help fund YOUR mods)
Well, I think it went down like this. Daughter was ogling the car a bit at the light. We both motored off nicely in 1st, at about 3k in second, Mr. Crossfire wanted to show off to my kid. So, no, it’s not like we were 4k launching, going to triple digit speeds, and I was done by 60-65mph. However, the deed was done.
The typical situation is like I mentioned above regarding the Z28. Guy in front of me (or my wife) getting onto an onramp (especially Millersport to 990), doing the best he can on said onramp, and realizing that he’s still got a mirror full of Audi Wagon, and not comprehending why.
