spark and everything else, but no pulse to injectors, halp? s13 SR

car wont run, starts here and there but dies out fast. i have no pulse going to the injectors. i have power, spark, etc. BUT nothing to the injectors AND my tach is all over the place. this happened after hitting a big puddle. does anyone have injector circuit diagrams?? or some insight as to why my injectors arent gettin powa. my mechanic checked it out cause i dont have access to work space atm. says theres no signs of water or moisture in any components or anything of the like. so I DONNO. wiring and circuit diagrams plz.

its likely your ecu…i had a similar prob in my hatch…pulse comes from ecu for injectors

where could water have hit to short out my ecu? I hit a puddle and car started chuggin and puttering and died out after 200ft.

did you check your 30amp fuse? heres a link to the fsm, go to the s14 fsm (also applies to s13) and on pdf page 292 will be the circuit diagram and troubleshoot for injector circuit

also its probably not your ecu, unless you have a huge rust hole where water can get at it. water just might have hit the fuse box and popped your fuse

well man all i can tell you is that one day my car was fine and the next day it wasnt and it never left my driveway…this shit is all 20 yrs old…if yor injectors arent getting a pulse then its either wiring or ecu…good luck…for the cost of the ecu worst case scenario is you end up with a spare and you know its a wiring issue. Ecu is an easy change you can do yourself.

totally agree with the ecu just being able to quit. my sr ecu did it last summer. but at the same time it doesnt always happen instantly, my car was running really rich for two weeks and then i changed some parts and went to drive it and it just died. but you always check wiring and fuses before components.

also, no holes near my ecu that could have put water on it. if my ecu did quit, itd be crazy coincidence considering this all happened immediately after hitting a puddle. ill double check fuses, and find a friends ecu to test out. ill check wiring, though my harness is clean and it was a nicely done swap. to me, id assume its a component thats fried.

let your friend test your ecu in his car, if your harness has a short it will do the same to his. then your both in shit

yaaaa. deff the ecu. i looked and im missing a rubber gromet, so i pulled the ecu and it had splash marks on it loool. WTB #62 ecu
