Spec T

Okay well my emotions with my car go round and round like I’m going friggin nuts, anyhow for the time being I am going to be keeping the car, but here is where the car is @ right now:

  1. TurboXS High Performance Dual Stage Boost Controller arrived today, SO SEXY LOOKIN, post pics soon.

  2. Took car to Mills today had the timeing retarted 3 degrees, stock is 15 degrees, im now at 12 (you can advance or retard your time by 3 degrees either way, if your N/A I would recommend advancing it, for all of y’all who didn’t know this)

  3. My Innovative Turbo has gone Kaput, well she’s still making boost, seeing as I’m only running 3lbs right now, but yeah the Turbo is Jingling before boost kicks in, so I am taking the turbo off Tomorrow and shipping it out to them ASAP, hopefully they cover it under Warranty

  4. I’m just pissed off that my whole summer for this car has gone to shit, having to deal with too much bullshit and that has been making me want to sell this bish, but when it comes down to it I fuckin love this car, never been in a more fun ride, and I really wanna feel 10lbs of boost by September. :partyman:

So stay tuned(lol) for more drama comming at ya almost daily :E

I also picked up a Turbosmart Dual Stage MBC last night. You’d hate me if you guess how much I paid. 8)

Don’t sell it… stick through it, trust me. 10lbs is worth it.

My TurboXS HPDSBC was $210.00 CDN to my door

Good luck with your project NICK>>> let me know if you’ll need some parts

Nothing Worth Doing Ever Goes Right, The First Time…

Stick in there, your car is practically the only reason i read the FWD section anymore… well that and seeing if there is any other FWDs

Can the Spec’s Internals handle 10 PSI (just coming from my car’s stand point of watching pistons go through the block at only 9 PSI, and no tune)? Or is it tuned to heck?

Best of Luck

Stick with it Nick.

I ran 11 psi at the track last night. Only did it once to see what it would do, so I didn’t get much opportunity to fine tune it. I ran a 13.1 at 104. Corrected for elevation that works out to be a 12.5 @ 109.

It kind of caught me off gaurd because most times I am hitting the rev limiter in 4th just as I cross the line… last night I had to shift to 5th way before the trap. Had I expected that I may have run in the 12s.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll get your shit worked out soon. Stick with it, it’s a blast.

A love hate relationship with a project car? unheard of…

Do what you feel is right (but I say stick with in Nik!!!) You’ve built an awesome project.

Well the Turbo has been sent to Innovative Turbo Systems to see what they can do with it. Powertech Performance and I are no longer on good terms so I just hope I.T.S will warranty this thing for me.

Let me know how it works out. I can get a smashin price on Turbonetics Turbo’s

Ouch…

So I thought I would let EVERYONE start to know what type of a company Powertech Performance is. The emails are in reverse though (last one is the first, first one is the last) anyhow this is how Jamie wants to treat customers who give him their car for 8 months and give him over $8000.00.

You know what buddy I have other things outside this fucken buisiness. And
when you have family problems this is the last of my concerns. If you want
to contact a lawyer …go ahead. I have a bill here for you that shows
you owe some taxes on the kit you had shipped and built in ONTARIO…I
am not trying to be a fucken ass But I have told you I will do what I say
but I have other things to take care of.
I have a boost gauge, the door pod and the kit here. The money I will get
together.

Jamie,

It has now been 3 weeks since you last said that you were going to ship me
any money, this really is starting to be ridiculous. I appreciate that you
has sent me $300 of the $900 that you owe me, but you still have:

$600.00 to send me
My Downpipe
and my Bodykit

Also, whatever happened to Brian or Bruce making me a new downpipe for the
Turbo kit, and the new boost gauge and the new door guage pod.

Again what frustrates me is that you have not treated this project like your
own car, which you said you would. And I am trying to get my car finished
and you are stopping that from happening, I have been MORE than patient it
is now September 1st Jamie. If you do not plan on sending me the Bodykit and
the $600, and the downpipe by next week I will be contacting a Lawyer,
because I am a customer and I feel that I trully am being taken advantage of
by you and your company. It has now been almost ONE YEAR since you and I
began starting to do business and that is far too long for a simple Turbokit
and a couple of parts Jamie.

All I can say is … Holy Shit…

Why do people always do this with the tuning business?

we all have lives outside our job, but that shouldnt get in the way of our work, if you paid for that shit you should get it, no fcking around. id be pissed, you pay for something and it takes a yr to get it all together, i wont have anything to do with them. thanks for letting us kno

wow im going to call powertech and order my turbo right away…they sound like an awsome business! haha yah right what a joker, no turbo kit should take 8 months like they avhe with your car, and if they do the finished project should be 100% amazing, not on the verge of the turbo burning out; and they still have your parts, that is pure bs

this sucks balls for you nick, hopefully this all gets worked out soon enough, and hopefully you dont have to go through lawyers cause they cost lots of $$.

Yeah Jamie and Powertech were pretty much the reason why I was debating selling the car, cause some of the shit that I need like a new battery I have paid for, why would I want to pay twice, Powertech Performance is basically the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life, if I could do it over again I would never have dealt with Jamie. I’d steer clear of them, but hey that’s just my opinion. Plus I love when Owners of companies send me e-mails swearing at me, especially when I have never said one profanity to him ever, wow what a business. Jamie wanted to try and expand the Canadian side of his business, lol.

Well here is another couple of e-mails , got one today from Powertech (the first one) take a look at some of the dates on these e-mails guys/

I spent the weekend looking for the key…I know I now did put it on the floor of the car…100% on this. Try to call Allied and Iwill call locally to see if they have a key that was found. I have all the stuff
boxed up except for the mid pipe that is in my Truck and my buddy has my truck till the weekend. I will send the $ out on Thursday and give you extra for the battery.
The body kit by late next week …as for the pillar on the door, that was
the pic taken when it first cracked and we re-did it with more material taken off then repainted…promise. I have another here I can ship and just send that one back. I can call mopac to have a controller ready for
you to go pick up…they will not let you put it on my acct. I will get you a list of parts and the install stuff on the car and you will see how much the stuff actually came to with all the extras’. I busted my ass on that car. Hood alone cost me and I never charged you but I want you to be happy

Jamie,

my address is:

Sherwood Park, AB

I really do hope that you are telling me the truth in that today (Monday July 31st, 2006) is when you are sending out all of my stuff, and the fact
that you said that you sent me a boost controller 3 weeks ago and now you are telling me to go to Mopac and put one on your account tells me that you do not have one that you are sending me in my package that you are sending me today. I expect a tracking number by the end of the day, and I trully do hope that in this shipment there is a money order for ($860.00)

$600.00 for the paint job that never happened and $260.00 for the boost controller that you obviously do not have nore never intended on shipping to me.

When I told you that the side gauge pod was cracked you started saying, “those idiots, I told them to be careful…” Well Jamie I attached the picture that you sent me of that pod before you sent my car out and I can see the crack perfectly in the relection of the pod in the window, so you sent it to me that way and tried blaming it on Allied.

Like I said I am giving you one week to have all of the stuff that you have of mine sent to me, you said it will be going out Monday, July 31st and I
truly do hope that you were telling me the truth. So if by Monday August 7th, 2006 I do not have:
$860.00
OEM Header
OEM Downpipe
OEM Fans
OEM Radiator
my 2004 Nissan Airbag (Black with Silver Nissan Emblem)
Nissan Sentra Purple Valet Key and Nissan Key FOB
and my R34 Octane Body kit (This I am willing to give you more time with
due to the size) I will be following through with what I had informed you of in my previous e-mail. You do owe me a new battery, I do not want to pay for a battery for this
car that I have already PAID you for, I can not trust that I will ever be
repaid for the cost of the battery so I would much prefer that you included in
that $860.00 an additional $130.00 and we will call it even I don’t care if a
new battery costs more than that, but I am willing to incurr the cost if it
means I do not need to harass a company for goods that I have paid for and not recieved.

So in reality you owe me $990.00, plus all of the above parts and I do
expect a tracking number tomorrow (Monday July 31, 2006). I am through playing games.

Nick Chase

Wow man… that’s fucken ridiculous. I got all pissy and hardcore on UPS over 60$ haha… Nvm hundreds of dollars.

Dude, You CANT quit and sell now… I know tonnes of cash is on the line but you got something damn special, (I’d Kill for a Spec T). If its anything, I think you got a couple of people backing you up.

I hate to hear these stories but someone has to tells others, its a sad part of the car business.

Good Luck Nick, and if you need anything I’m sure a few of us will be there.

(Now for something NOT Sappy… :anal )

Okay, so this is an e-mail I got from Jamie Early last week:
