Yeah of course I do, but I’ve got to fit it into my budget, these things ain’t cheap especially, when I’ve got a house to pay for, and a lot of other things, so yeah late winter early spring is when mine will be going in for heart sugery.
how much you think the whole kit and install etc. will cost? it will be worth it thought cause your car with a new engine and all its mods is going to be stupid fast.
I think I can get it fully installed for under 5 grand plus i get shop sapce and i can install most of it myself. So it shouldn’t be too bad.
I have no idea how much the install would cost, I’d almost think about doing the install myself as long as I had someone like Stephen to help me out. If he was I’d ask him to drive up here and help me out with it and pay him a few hundred and just have him stay with me since I have a spare room at my place and yeah, but you know this is all “if’s” at this point in time. But as for mods, the car won’t be that much faster than any other Turbo Spec I mean the only thing that would really stay (for engine mods) would be the Camshafts, Valve Springs, and BSR. My headers, MR DP, Nismo Exhaust, and AEM CAI would all be taken off so yeah, it will pretty much be the same as any other QR25DET

No way no how can I afford the kit with no job (soon), and most of my savings are going to kill off a student loan. :roll:
More importantly though - It seems pretty obvious to me that unless you street race (which I don’t) the turbo is kinda pointless. I don’t push my car above 3500 RPM very often as it is, and the turbo cars are actually slower on the autox track due to the shitty traction they provide. Shane with the ITR at the track event pretty much proved to me that driver is the key to a fast car, and since straight line performance doesn’t interest me in the slightest, the turbo would be pointless.
Nope, I’m going to concentrate on other mods to help me improve, like lightweight wheels and R-Compounds, a C/F combo, better brake rotors, uprated cooling system, intake and head port/polish, and perhaps a seat and harness. Sheer speed is cool, but if you can’t take a corner with it you’re better off in a Mustang.
Besides, I have the race 240 now and at least it’s driving the correct wheels. :E

yah well i wont be able to mod my car much cause i’m saving for when i go to fire-etc in march and have to live in bumfuck no where vermillion. so i wont have moddin money til next summerish. it might work out well , who knows we will see.

Geez Kris get your priorities straight :finga: . It’s like you and I swaped opinions you wanted the Turbo and I was happy just keepin mine N/A. Oh well whatever makes us happy, but you’ve got a second car to mod now, and about improving handling, I will be looking into the Tein SS with EDFC after I finish blowing thousands on this new car Steroid and the install and painting of my R34 kit next Summer, just endless shit to do to these cars. :rolleyes:

Well this will be the last time my Spec sees snow after this season this bish becomes a non-stop work inprogress strictly meant for our amazingly long summers. The more I think about the amount of money I have put into this car and will continue to do so the more I think I’m going to keep it for life :partyman:
