R35 owners CAN haz TQ! PE Quad Charged GT-R

I saw this car at TAS as well. Camera was dead so I couldn’t snap a shot.

In a word- ill.

Here are a couple pics. Look at the source links for more info. Last link has the most information (though still limited).

Two turbos + Two Rotrex SCs to the tune of 600-700 hp… No word on tranny mods though…

I’m sure Nissan will cover launch control on this bad boy…

weak numbers for 2 turbos and 2 s/c’s

in for moar inf0

+1

Point taken, but I don’t think max power was the point.

That’s pretty badass!

umm Im not sure how they want people to interpert that

but they say “How much more HP will be prdeuced”

so maybe that how much more will be added on? I mean that would be like 900-1000hp total but thats no unreasonable?

The Rotrex C type supercharger is designed to be compact and I don’t think the performance is comparable to screws or roots. The C30-94 is the largest trim of their medium series, I am sure they can put something larger in if they want to.

a turbocharger and s/c combo doesn’t mean it’ll have more peak power.

Usually the point is to increase response. S/c takes low end then an electronic clutch disengages so it goes all turbocharged. No lag.

… at least that’s what typical twincharging does.

*Edit it seems that there’s no electronic clutch, but the point is still the same, to have boost when the turbo isn’t spooled

a proper turbo setup shouldnt have any lag to begin with…and MOST proper turbo setups have a much quicker peak boost then alot of S/C’s.

Even a well set up turbo will require some time to spool. There will be lag, just a question of how much.

It’s possible to use VG technology to assure optimum aspect ratio for different engine speeds, or anti-lag, but typical well set up systems don’t have this technology. The use of lightweight rotating components does not eliminate lag, it only reduces inertia…

Additionally, if the goal of the turbo setup is to minimize lag, maximum power would suffer anyways.

oh boy… im not gonna touch this.

Couldn’t resist, hehehe

it wouldnt be worth explaining it. i noticed you touched on the subject a little… dont waste your time.

still it just looks sick. whine of the sc with psshhhhhttt of bov! nice

o lord!

:rofl:rofl:rofl… sig worthy!

to play devil’s advocate he IS correct.

IF your definition of a ‘proper turbo setup’ is one with no lag, sure putting a pair of td04’s on an LS1 won’t make jack shit for power, but it for damn sure won’t have any lag…if you want to call that a proper setup that’s your call :retardclap

sadfasdfasdf

wtf u talking about dude td04’s are fucking huge for LS1’s and lagg horribly :open_mouth:

:retardclap
