Speed Nation Closed, But...

I was driving pass where Speed Nation used to be on 88 today and come to find out the front building has become a bar, but the back still has the dyno. The guy who used to run the dyno, Cannon, no longer works there, but the shop is running. Does anyone know who runs it now?

Hi - Mike Ancas here. Just wanted to make a formal announcement that Cannon Roberts is no longer part of Speednation. Any work that he does for any RACEPA member would be independent of my company, Speednation. He left of his own free will, but since he is no longer part of Speednation, I can no longer endorse his work, and do not want any future work he performs to reflect on my company’s reptutation. Our dyno is still open, as is our service garage. In fact, starting the day after labor day, we now have regular hours: 10am-6pm and we can be reached at the same number: 412-882-3100. Thanks for your continued support - Mike

taken off of RacePA…

Yup, Mike Ancus runs it now (guy who owned it in the first place). If you couldn’t tell Cannon wasn’t working out :squint: I was down there making passes about 2 months ago? Dyno is just fine, Mike sorta lets you do your own thing and offers advice every now and then. I think the prices dropped a little too. If you want Mike’s number let me know I can dig it up.

Edit: What tegsimple said

Can’t say that I am surprised. Cannon was a real class act!

Mike is the neon guy isnt he?

its been like this since for a few months…

Yea he usually has a assortment of either Neons or Hondas he’s actively autocrossing or trying to ball up on a hill climb. Mike’s a nice guy though, don’t get him confused with Cannon.

I’ve been looking for a closer dyno to finish up a tune and get some new numbers. I was never happy with Cannon and his “charges”, so I’m happy to see it still going.
