hey just wondering i have an sr20det with i blown rod and bearings and dont know how the block is… so i have all these great parts and do not want to go get a whole new sr swap i just need the block and i found redtop sr20de blocks down in calgary for 650.00. my question is can i take eerything off that sr20de just so that it is a bare long block and just take my sr20det parts on there… i dont see why not same base engine. i just dont know about like valve timing or any other of the specs… if some one could answer this question they would be a life saver
japan racing engines has an redtop sr20det that was auto with to tranny
they have 6 sr20det’s and the auto one looked the best
maybe give them a call, see how much they want for just that motor
RWD block are all the same. But you can’t use FWD blocks, or NA head’s (well without alot of work)

im pretty sure he means if you have a rwd car and use a fwd block you are going to pay
all rwd blocks are the same and that is what you want,so pay for that and dont cheap out and get a fwd block.

I’m still looking for an engine long block for my rebuild kinda lost some parts and needing some new set of rod, pistons, and crank.
