started poking around in cad some again - simple yamaha emblems

wound up with this, but nothing to use it on

what was the point of making this? if you have nothing to do with it put it on some vinyl and i can put it on my bike (just the symbol, i already have yamaha on the bottom of it)

it originaly started out w/ someone wondering about having “yamaha” engraved on an existing part, so i drew up the lettering to see what the possibilities were given the available space. while i was at it i whacked out the tuning forks too, just for shits

what type of file is required for cutting vinyl ?

EDIT: its also been suggested that i should have some SHO timing belt covers made, which would look vaguely like this:

you should eliminiate the emblems in the holes completely and make cam sporckets out of those symbols and chrome plate them… that would be bad ass as hell!

I like where you’re headed with the idea.

yea, so do i, now the hard part is making it into a cost effective 2 piece design. along w/ making the jigs to have said 2 piece design quickly and inexpensively machined

the “other” billet timing cover on the market is one solid piece, 18 x 10 x 2.5 … not a cheap block of aluminium … $480+ shipping
