So i am walmart the other day and all of the sudden my car doesn’t want to start anymore. Came back after and hour or so and it started up fine, so didn’t think much of it. Talked to some people and they said that my starter is gone. And now my car is stuck at the gas station because it won’t start anymore.
Now So is it my starter?
If so where can i find a cheap one?
Used or New?
CT just quoted my $225 for one?
and finally where exactly is it located if i wanted to change it myself.

Is your car standard or automatic?
If its standard put the car in 1st gear get someone to push you car and you with the key in on position dump the clutch the car should start.

thx …thats what i just did to bring it back home…Is it worth my money and time to get a used one…or should i just stick with a new one…i just don’t want to be having to go through this 2 months from now…
it depends, starters sometimes last for a long time sonetimes dont, but i’m selling mine for a LOT less then a new one.

if you really want security i’d go with canadian tire, they offer 1 and 3 year warranties on their starters
IIRC it was 180 or so for a 1 year and 240 for a 3 year, and this is just the starter
tap the starter with a hammer be on your way…
