Stealership rant on service of van

good lord dude

Wow man. That’s just awful.

Why bother dropping the tank? Nost chevys have in line prop valves, so length doesnt matter, why not save the customer some cash and go around the tank?

Its near impossible to get any reparations from the orginal dealer. I had a Nissan dealer in Ohio diagnose a problem with my 300zx under 12k/1yr parts/labor warranty and the NY dealer that did the orginal work would not agree with the diagnosis…End result 4k out of my pocket to fix it.

Further calls to Nissan USA at the time informed me that all dealers are privately owned and each have their own discretion as to what is or is not a valid warranty claim.

Kind of sucks when its so obvious some people are in it for the $ and some people are in it to do the right thing.

What kind of van is this?

It is a Chevy with dual wheels and a Unicell body conversion.

Absolutely 100% false if you were inside warranty. If you are in warranty and inside the guidelines you should have been covered 100%. Dealerships have never been able to choose what is warranty and what is not so someone was bullshitting you. The manufacturer gives us guidelines and rules to follow because they pay for the warranty and we just administer it on their behalf. The only “warranty” the dealers pick and choose is what is not covered that the dealership will pay for it to keep you happy. If you ever run into that again let me know and I will guide you through it!!
