steel curtain

IN EFFECT BABY!!!

stopping that 4th and goal was KEY!!!

:steelers::steelers::steelers:

the O needs to get its ass in gear. besides the first drive they look like shit.

great game so far though

this one is gonna be a nail biter

That safety totally fucked us. Good game by the D, but our O is atrocious.

i agree.keepin the giants to 1 td was good but our offense needs a alil help.is it me or does ben never scramble anymore???seems like he used to run alot more but nowdays he stays in the pocket and gets sacked.

Blew it last quarter just like the Pens blew it in the last period lastnight. Sweet.

Ugh, that pens game…

we still got a point though, will get em next time. Its early in the season man just wait till we see em again.

Yeah, I suppose 5-2 isn’t too bad for this early.

d did a good job but looked to be tired at the end which is understandable. our o looked like shit and more injuries didnt help. oh well just hope they learn from this and move on.

Aside for a few occasions, when has our steelers team looked anything different than how we played that game? When we play quality opponents the defense plays very tough and the offense scores just enough to stay in a game. We have always counted on our defense to win big games.

Hopefully all of those injuries turn out to be insignificant. I think the biggest one is Ryan Clark. He might be the most underrated and undervalued Steelers defender on our defense. His play allows Troy to roam freely and play his game in the secondary. Since Im speaking of Troy, watching him throw his body around like he does is really going to limit his years. The more I watch, the more I realize that Troy never tackles properly. I think he has 6 concussions now. A few more and hes not going to ever be medically cleared to play football again. That is reminiscent of Steve Young being forced to retire from concussions. Although, I do not think that Troy has any other type of game to play if concussions become more of a problem.

the shine’s wearing off.

Steelers quarterbacks are messiahs for a couple of years, then pariahs.

Steelers fans heap entirely too much praise on their quarterbacks, then overcompensate by tearing them down.

pretty soon people will start swearing that their cousin’s girlfriend’s brother picked roethlisberger up in Schenley Park for blowing guys.

Seriously, we need to play Leftwich over Rothlinsturd. I was never a fan of him and never will be, but Leftwich is incredible.

Rothlinsturd? Weak.

I prefer Roflsberger.

i know it has no effect but why do they keep wearing those ugly as sin uniforms.

and no group other than holmes, white, green and greenwood should ever be called the Steel Curtain.

Leftwitch can’t hold Roethlisberger’s jock. If we were all that good at evaluating talent in the NFL, we would be working there. People that say he sucks know nothing about football and how to play the quarterback position. if roethlisberger had the colts line or the giants line or any line other than their own, he would be of the charts. he was the 2nd best quarterback in the league last year 32 TD and 11 int’s i believe. and that was inspite of his line. he was sacked the most in the league last year, and if that was leftwich or batch or tommy maddox, the sacks would of been in the 70+ range. the guy runs for his life every week. What more can he do?

i hate this argument… there are only so many jobs. im sure there are people out there that know as much if not more than current NFL coaches but maybe choose another profession. the nfl and sports in general is based mostly on skill, knowledge and overall talent but there is a lot of who you know and being in the right place at the right time. I’m sure there is some texas high school coach that is as smart as Bill Walsh but likes to coach high school.

worthlessberger?

roflswigger…

He consistantly has atleast 7 seconds to ditch the ball every snap. He holds on way to long.
