I would love for you to point out one time where he has had 7 seconds to throw the ball from the pocket. He creates more time when he leaves the pocket, As long as it takes him to do his drop, 3 step and throw that is roughly 2.5 seconds. a lot of times he doesn’t even have that much time. The defensive line man dont stand there and count 1 mississippi 2mississippi etc… How many times have you been behind center taking snaps in a live football game?
very rare that you are a qb that has great ability to escape the pocket and have a long top tier career… fran tarkenton, steve young, john elway… ben is none of those. as big as he is I can only see him becoming slow and less mobile.
i never saw peter gammons pitching live on a mound but hes a fuckin amazing baseball analyst… there are tons of sports analysts that have never played the sport they cover at a professional level so i dont see what the fuck taking a live snap has to do with describing what you might see happen during a game. lets face it, a lot of those guys playing on sunday are as good as trained monkeys, they’ve had football indoctrined in them for years and play on reactions and instincts… why is hard to believe some guy sitting on the couch can figure out whats goin on rather than some LB who probably is bordeline retarded but can hit like a mack truck?

Exactly…this is so correct.

Im not going to lie, I would rather have QB who can manage a game without interceptions and fumbles than one who does miraculous shit to make a play or two a game. The one and only thing I respect about Big Ben is the fact that man has not walked off the field in disgust or open threw his offensive line under the bus. He gets hit so much every game when compared to other QBs around the league. I just have a suspicion that before the season is over he is going to get hurt and miss a few games especially with the run of teams we have coming up.
I really want to see the offensive line gel with the rest of the offensive. Hopefully having Parker back in the lineup will add a much needed spark. Mewelde Moore is a game managing running back, which has done great for us, but he is not a game breaker like Willie.
If the offense can peak at the right time, especially before the defense gets worn out, we have a legitimate shot at the AFC Championship this year. The Colts and Chargers are struggling and the toughest team thus far is Tennessee who I believe is going to crumble after their first loss.
joe montana made a career of doing that. montana didnt make crazy plays, he just made plays at critical times. marc bulger with a decent offensive line could manage a game very well but of course i am completely bias having grew up with him.
