is that kinda like being on a streetracing board with a late 70’s ford f150??? … kinda? … :finger:
no, actually it’s not even close. :dunno:
:mrT:
thats BS…there are a lot of great players in all sports that are at the top of all time greats but never won the title.
we will just have to agree to disagree. no ring no care
a QB can only do as well as the wide receivers he’s throwing to.
true, but he did have some very good recievers during his time.
but a “great” player should be able to elevate his team to a higher level. Lemieux and Jorden both did this. Everyone they played with was 3 times the player while playing with them.
Marino could not lead his team to the big game, so he sux0rs.
actually, i could really care less about sports and just look at it from a very basic point of view. I do not know how football works and just call it like I see it.
well i’m not big on football so i can’t really get into it…but i know the NBA like the back of my hand & there are a lot of all-time greats that never won a title.
title or no title…you can still be an all-time great…PERIOD
true but they are on a different level…they are aguably the greatest ever @ their sport and sports in general…not at a certain position
you have greats…then you have greatest…they are on different levels
Lemieux was 16% of the team “on the field”.
Jordan was 20% of the team “on the field”.
Hockey and basketball also reward one successful player more than football does. A QB can’t run every play, and certainly can’t pass to himself. and…
A QB is 4.5% of the team.
:jerkit: a QB touches the ball on every single offensive play. so everytime they have the ball a QB has the potential to ‘win’ or ‘lose’ that play… add up all the plays and you have a game. so QB’s can win or lose games.
and a QB doesn’t play defense…
hockey & espeically basketball…one guy can dominate a game on both end.
but he’s gotta have a good defense to help out…doens’t matter how much you score if you can’t stop the other team…& a QB has no control of that.
nice percentages. what ass did u pull those out of?
i’d go with simple division.
oh i thought he was going by skill level compared to everyone else, i read that wrong…because i dont rate lemieux , for example, equal to all other players on the ice.
Defense??? what NBA you watchin? is your TV stuck in the 90’s?
QBs CAN win or lose games, but the best QB in the world can’t win if his WRs catch like amputees. If you want to put the burden of responsibility on any part of a football team, it has to be the special teams.
lol…no… in the case of Lemieux, he’s 86% of the team…
haha ya, for alot of the years that would seem about right…thats why i was so quick to respond w/o reading what u were saying correctly
come on now…don’t try & think you know more NBA then me…
I was making a point that a QB has no control of what happen when he’s not on the field.
QB is similar to a PG… but just think if you had Kidd, or Iverson running your PG spot, but everytime on defense you subbed in damon jones…just wouldn’t work…he a liability on D.
i can’t say for marino specifically cause i’m not into football & don’t know how his team was when he played…but in general you have to remamber a QB only has control on offense.
