There’s nothing to flame about. I mentioned how the ZR1 would be badass with a street tune and everyone was like OMG HE SAID STREET T00N NO WAI WHAT IS THAT I DONT GET IT AHHHH DYNOS IN MY ASSHOLE :motherland
To me, I “street tune” my car because I am not paying people like you to set my AFR when I can do it nearly myself. I’ll let you (I do it myself though) use the dyno to dial in load to fine tune the AFR and set the timing.
But, a repeatable dyno and a good tuner > any street tune or canned tune.
I still find the street tune funny. Most people who talk to me about tuning at the lot (when I actually went) used the term in weird ways.
That’s why I said the dyno can simulate real driving but it isn’t the same as driving on the road. Also why I said the best tunes come from both, dyno AND street tunes.
I’m not talking about “chipping” a car or using tunes made from someone else and uploading them to your car. I am talking about doing everything from scratch. If that helps to clear things up a bit.
I guess it depends on what you define as better. I can tune my AFR in about 10-15 minutes. Even IF you could set AFR better on street, you can’t set the timing. Therefore, dyno > street.
But, to me, street is good enough and I’d rather do the work myself then pay the money and be at some tuner’s mercy. Because, contrary to believe, a car is NEVER tuned.
You guys (Joey) can be a bunch of tools sometimes. I mention one thing and you jump on the bandwagon with what everyone else says and you repeat it. It gets old after about 5 posts.
