I have a pretty long trip to work, so I’m 99% hwy. I can get 24 mpg if I really try. Almost always get 22 though.
Damn, that aint too good. I thought these got better on the highway…
im usually about 20mpg, half my commute is delaware ave
My best has been 26 hwy. I average 19-20.
Wow, my V8 does better than that.
That’s better than I thought they got though… My tc get between 17 and 19 now, combined
I only ever saw 21-22mpg out of the bone stock '05 I drove a good bit.
my s10 gets 21-22 mpg highway and has 9.6:1 compression. wtf does the sti have?
christ i thought these things were high 20’s low 30’s for mpg
Lol… I enjoy my >8 mpg… maybe 10 highway if im lucky but thats with 850cc injectors haha
8.2:1
fawk… i can see 27-29 MPG in my m3 on extended highway trips averaging ~ 65-70 with cruise on
Best I’ve gotten on the highway is like 25mpg. I usually average 20mpg with a mix of highway/around town.
I average between 17-19mpg but that is mostly driving a daily 5 mile commute in which I average less then 10 mph.
seriously? thats your reasoning?
My 8.1:1 iron 4 cylinder that is a >30 yrs old design gets better mileage (25-28 on DD’g) then that with a larger turbo & 75# injectors.
well it is awd and altho not a “pig” its not honda light, i’d assume thats a pretty decent part of it… i’d say given the circumstances 20-26 isnt that bad??
3300ish lbs + brick aerodynamics + small turbo (sees boost often) + stock tune that is way rich + cruise control can boost the car = MEH gas mileage.

lol
Well, yea that is my reasoning. We were comparing the STi to a GTO.
If you want reasoning on a case by case basis, everyone who gets better mileage than an STi can post up all about their ride, and we’ll break it down. Look, the bottom line is that nobody buys an STi for gas mileage, unless they are retarded.
