About 1.5 years now off and on. It went 12.3 on a true stock turbo, then 12.1 on the first pass on a modded stock turbo and then we upgraded the turbo to a green about 2-3 months ago. That didn’t last. He got the 35R a couple weeks ago and the AEM EMS yesterday.
Turbo that WRX was from 4 hours away and it’s gone.

I remember you telling me about this kids stock turbo car going 12.3. That was very impressive. It was still with the top mount too, right? I only went 12.8 or whatever with mine, so he can drive the hell out of that car! I imagine it was set up really nice.

Yup 12.3 was stock top mount on pump with water/meth. He ran that several times before giving up on the stock turbo. He did also have a header and other bolt ons.
He’s definitely not a kid, but he’ll get a laugh out of that when he sees it.

Yes you have cuased me pain. I should’v started from a higher mph, then it may have survived…lol. btw i got it back together to find out the input shaft was bent…so back apart it comes…

This isn’t a race car. He daily drives it and this tune is for daily driving as it’s his only car. There’s no comparing the two cars.
Owner of the STi must be one cool customer to let you run his car on the street. I expected this to be closer given the mods. psycho look on the bright side at least you have an excuse to go bigger and better.

I’ll also be running his car at the track at some point when I have time to go with him. We have very different driving styles and we want to see which shifting method works better. He drives a truck for living and he slams shifts. I’m a lot more gentle. His method appears faster, but it seems like it’s just more violent than mine. It will be a good experiment. We’ll see what happens.
I just got off the phone with him and he’s all excited to see the video. Quote: “Sweet now I know I can beat Camaros with 150 shots.” LOL
too bad it’s a TRANS AM!!! with a 100 shot and a dead cylinder. granted there was no way i was winning anywho…god i hate cumarrows.
