STi takes first loss.... :(

I am not sure why you are comparing it with your old car with a tranny problem. If so, I guess that makes sense but I was comparing it when it wasn’t fucked. I mean, I guess a stock Civic is faster than my car when it has a flat tire…

My posts were regarding your car when it was healthy and when it was said to be LOW 12s/HIGH 11s at 115-120MPH. I still am lost on what that car runs stock. C5s were rated at higher and they didn’t go into the 12s at LVD and rarely trapped above 108MPH (M6s too). How the LS1 is HIGH 12s on average is beyond me but I have read some have dipped into the HIGH HIGH 12s like the Supra MKIV did by like .0001% of the population. Also, a pair of DRs/SLICKS is not stock.

the C5’s had more of a drive train loss then the Camaro’s…totally different rear ends/differentials. Overall, the M6 camaro’s put down about the same rwhp stock for stock against the C5’s and the C5’s were rated at 345hp. i believe the camaro’s are a tad bit lighter (like 100lbs) then a C5 but dont quote me on that.

also every ls1 is different…some put down serious numbers when their stock and some dont…I do know for a fact that in 01 they messed up a few thousand z28’s/ss’s by putting C5 heads on them…those cars ran excessively better then they should have and its very possible I have one of those cars.

Actually, that’s incorrect.

97-00= 345/350
01+ = 350/375

Curb weight
C5 = Under 3300LBS
2000 Camaro = Google search ranges from 3300-3500? Not sure if it varied?

I could care less what rear ends/differentials they use. Unless the Camaro weighs significantly less or cuts better 60’s, it isn’t going HIGH 12s or trapping 110 on average. Like I said, I heard HIGH 12s and 108MPH or so on some freaks but not average.

The stock ones you seen at LVD probably weren’t stock. Unless I am missing something because I rarely see it and raced MANY MANY LS1s.

sorry dude, but you heard wrong, hit up ls1tech if ya need some proof, i dont really feel like looking for the thread, but an ss/ws6 6speed is a high 12 second car.

The cats are right under your feet and right after the exhaust manifold

well for some odd reason today a SES light popped up…code PO420. Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

what could cause this?? never had to deal with this code before???

Are you sure?

“12.9s for a 6 speed freak seen it happen folks” (-- Yep, it does happen. Average? Doesn’t look like it…
What do stock LS1's dyno/run in the 1/4? “297.68 rwhp 319.37 rwtq” HIGH 12s in a 3300LBS RWD car? Nope.
What do stock LS1's dyno/run in the 1/4? - Page 2
What do stock LS1's dyno/run in the 1/4? - Page 2
What do stock LS1's dyno/run in the 1/4? - Page 2 “13.1 @ 104”. No 12s.

That’s Page 1. I can go onto the next page of the thread if you want? Maybe every person in that thread are horrible drivers?

Nope. Here’s the last page of the thread: What do stock LS1's dyno/run in the 1/4? - Page 2 “13.48 @ 103”

The interesting thing about ALL of these posts are that they are in the SAME thread. I guess I could look for more threads if you want?

Do you have gutted cats? Sounds like this car was modded before. I’d be skurred.

I have seen a bone stock C5 run 12.8 at 109. It was my buddy and I was videotaping for him…

I seen a fucking gorilla ride a bike too but it’s not the norm. That’s the point.

Awesome trap for a C5. Must have been some nice tires.

I saw that video of the monkey on a minibike. Fuckin awesome…

his slp ss is def faster than a stock z28, hes got a lid, exhaust, and an ls6 intake, so what i suggest you did is look up cars with those mods, you’ll def find a lot of cars with these mods in the high 12s. If andrew gets good at it he’ll def be in the 12s as the car sits now. Just a question but who said that andrews old v6t was an 11 second car?

But we aren’t talking about a MODDED car? Go back and read the thread. Someone asked what those cars typically run (He said “on average” too) and he responded, and you agreed, HIGH 12s, and I don’t think that is true.

It’s been said his car would run HIGH 11s on this forum many times which is why I am confused about how a MID 13s car can be “faster”.

HIS CAR COMES AS A MODDED CAR< WTF DONT YOU UNDERSTAND. I was talking in reference to an SS or WS6 car, which technically are “modded” cars as they have an intake and exhaust

Shawn I dont understand what your missing…your like reading half the shit were saying and your getting to excited to reply and prove us wrong but your not proving us anything…read this

my car is a SLP SS…SLP stands for “Street Legal Performance”. My car came STOCK from the SLP factory with Bolt ons…what you need to do is get on ls1 tech and look up M6 bolt on SS’s…their is a DIFFERENCE from a stock 305hp Z28.

like paul said, 01-02’s came with the LS6 intake manifold…you need to look up 01-02 SLP ss’s on ls1tech and come back with ACCURATE numbers of how my car sits right now…right now your giving us numbers with cars that are much different then mine.

I understand just fine.

You told me to look up WS6/SS M6 and I did. I found you like 10 different examples that contradict your “but an ss/ws6 6speed is a high 12 second car” comment that are on Page 1 of a thread. I can write you a fucking biography and you can even use Google Translator. But, I’ll save you the trouble as they all say the same thing: MID/LOW 13s :lol

*“13.250@105.98mph w/2.052 60’ bone factory stock 98Z on rsa street tires and 2.73 gears only mod was removing air filter”

*“BONE STOCK…12.83@110 on a 98 I just posted this in the other thread like this. Track prep a good driver very easy and I had 90,000+ miles on the car”

*“Yes, there are some that have done that. My other 99 ran 12.98 “bone stock”. It did have 20,000 miles on it before it’s first track pass. Don’t know if you consider being broken in a mod…”

*“My car ran 13.24 show room stock. The car had 3500 miles on it. Stock tires, stock air filter, no weight removed. If I remember correctly the sixty ft was 2.0x and the mph was 104.x. It is an SS but has no SLP options.”

*“My ‘02 SS M6 with 2,000 miles was show room stock when I ran it. It was my first time running a car at the track ever. On F1’s it ran 13.1 @ 109 with a terrible 2.2 60’. With a 2.1 or a 2.0 it would have been high 12s all day long.”

*“That’s my definition as well, and in that trim LS1 F-bodies HAVE run in the 12.8 to 13.1 (and slower obvious”

*“I ran a 13.1 @ 110.5 with a lid and descreened maf 2 weekends ago, i would say thats pretty sweet”

*"I ran a 12.765 @ 106.33 MPH with a 1.748 60’ on Street tires…and I have a time slip to prove it. DA was -375 that day
Its stock as far as I know except for a flowmaster exhaust(was on the car when I bought it)…

*2000 SS M6

personally I think I got a miracle run…But I also hit a 12.9xx on the same day in the same lane… most of my runs have been 13.0xx and 12.9xx"

*“first time to the track with continental conti-extreme(junk) ran a 12.92@109.97 with a 1.92 60ft. 3.42s stock clutch, stock everything with 30k on the clock”

*“My 00 SS went 12.88 @ 109.5 bone stock, on a nitto and only managed a 2.0 60ft. I always thought it was kinda of a freak car.”

*“I managed 12.78 with a lid and cut out on the stock tires.”

*“my bone stock A4 T/A ran 13.1 at 106 in 95 degree heat… stock tires too”

*“Mine went 12.986 @ 108.36 at Montgomery, Al without a filter. That was my best. As far as being “bone stock” it had different tires but they weren’t nittos or anything. Hell I don’t remember what they were. I had just bought the car. Got Firehawks a week or so later and started modding.”

*“i have a 2000 ws6 6spd BONE stock down to the paper filter… wit my slippin clutch smellin up the whole track… i even had peep tellin me they was settin in the bleachers and smelt my clutch… heres my 1st pass… btw i havent had the car lil over a month…60ft 2.015… 1/8th 8.468… 1/4 mile… 13.111@105.849… and i have the slip if any doubts…”

*"My roomate went 12.9xx@108.xx in a 02 Z28.

Specs:
M6
Hard Top
cloth seats
non-power locks/windows
stock tires 245/50/16(without lowering the tire pressure also!)
stock suspension

How he did it:
launched at about 2500rpms. When he launched he just lifted the clutch as fast as he could(not side steping it) and mashed the gas. He started spinning at the top of first so he then hurry and lifted off the throttle and then mashed it again. He then powershifted(never letting off the gas when he shifts, just pushes in clutch and grabs the next gear) every gear. The track temp. was around 67ish degrees.

hope this helps others trying for that low 13 high 12 in stock trim."

*“2000 SS (no slp options), M6, full option/weight, appx 13k miles, 100% bone stock - 13.5 @ 106 off a 2.2 60’. Track is at 632 feet.”

17 members on ls1tech in just 1 thread ran 12.7-13.4 in stock form…or with my factory bolt on options

anything else?

Not stock but thanks for proving my point.

Generous trap but OK

OK

Proving my point for me.

“would have”. Proving my point for me.

“HAVE” Proving my point for me.

Modded and still 13s. Proving my point for me.

Awesome 60’ but modded.

“miracle”? Sounds like “average” to me. Proving my point for me.

Gears? Is that stock?

Nitto 555 DRs aren’t stock. Proving my point for me.

Modded. Proving my point for me.

Proving my point for me.

That’s called a mod but I’ll give it to you.

Proving my point for me.
