Hey everyone was looking to see if there is a way to tighten/stiffin the feel of shifts when driving. Ie. when new bushings are installed type of feel. Is it possible ?
get a short shifter and new bushing.
nismo mounts and hks shift spring set
I’ve got a B&M for sale…$180.
why dont you just go buy one of the 9.00 bushings from nissan and replace it, and get the shifter gasket also cause its probably going to tear. hell while your at it get some gangster gear oil.
You’re one step ahead of me, I’m figuring out how to keep the shifter from not lifting out. LOL
I was told I’m missing a snap ring or something.
^^ you are missing the snap ring.
you can find shifters everywhere man.
i was told we dont have shifter bushings and its just like a straight linkage to the trans. am i being mislead ?
umn, yeah, pretty sure there’s a bushing missing
All the 240’s I found in the junkyard were auto, or had no shifter. lol
I have an O.E shifter (complete) Get the shifter bushing from Nissan like Keezy said.
JUST DO IT!
You could probably get the snap ring too from them??? If not, buy me entire O.E shifter for the low low price of…I dunno 20?
And yea, after that. Half decent oil and the Nismo trans mount helps a lot I find.
Follow this and you will find salvation:
- Get the Nissan OEM shifter bushing piece. (Costs about $2 - $4)
- Get yourself a a new set of tranny mounts. NISMO or Peak Performance will work.
- If you want a shorter throw, get a short shifter. (Tomei, B&M, or Megan)
If you do all 3, it’ll feel pretty good.
lol salvation.
If I had money atm, I’d rock the B&M with the Nismo mounts.
thank you gentleman for the advice.
