STM's Dyno Numbers vs The 1/4 Mile:

So a lot of you may know our Mustang dyno here at STM seems to be putting out some oddly low numbers for the mods the cars have… Well our local 1/4 mile track (NYIRP) finally had their opening day and we got to get a few cars out there to see what these numbers really mean.

This is Emery’s brother (Mike Cronin) daily driven 2003 Evo VIII:

There are a few more pictures of his car here:

I got a few videos, but the vid of the 12.0… my camera ran out of memory and stopped just short. Figures. So I made sure to post a pic of the car with the #93 to match the timeslip

Mike also had his 90 AWD Talon TSI on E85 there… That car made 325ish on the dyno and ran an 11.99 @ 115 (1.9 60’) …with alot of room left to go!

So, all in all after seeing the numbers compared to the real track times… not so disappointing after all…

I think all of us at STM can expect a very good season here in Rochester!

Those numbers compared to the times are interesting to see. Glad you guys got some positive verification though.

Who was driving your bro’s car? Thats a KILLER 60’. Nice job! I’m guessing that car has injectors also? Any weight reduction?

Great times guys

I was driving it to go that fast but my brother was not far behind.

Parts removed were
OEM batt Replaced with small kit

We will be putting a set of cams in it soon and see if we can go mid 11’s with a 9.8 hotside

Then on to the fun stuff…
