Agreed. Going back to the whole ‘if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it’ mentality. Burshur has quite the rep and clearly builds a mean motor.
Still, if STM ever decided to build their own and have their name on it, that would be pretty rad.

i dont know anything about EVO’s but this looks so rad.
can you explain the drilling of the holes in the wheels beyond what LZ mentioned?
Justin was pretty spot on with his explanation. Allows you to run a lower tire pressure without fear of the bead separating from the rim. Same thing guys with off-road trucks do to an extent with their “bead lock” wheels.
RAD
it would be interesting to see you guys build a v8 with this kind of quality
Not saying to reinvent the wheel. What I mean is it would be huge to for them to build a bottom end to hold the power they make. That would also give customers more options and be able to choose what pistons/rods/bearings…to fit their budget and power goals.
Its kinda in the works. The problem is actually finding an machine shop you can trust.
Can’t wait to see when this is finished. I’ll be coming to you guys to tune my X once I start building it
Built or not, A tune is the best thing you can do to that car. All the bolt ons in the world wont make much of a difference until you change the turbo.
Truth. Wish I would have known it before I bought all my stuff. Just call up the shop and order up a test pipe, a hallman and have emery tune it. It will be within 10-15 horsepower of my full bolt on X. Guaranteed
Oh yea I know the stock tune is horrible and runs pretty lean. I’m going to be in touch soon about coming in
Carbon fiber doors. I absolutely love it.
Jesus Christ. This stuff is so good
Nice work guys.
I had every Buschur part available when I sold my Evo. Sometimes I wonder where my car is and if the new owner put the last piece(turbo) of the puzzle in there.
The drag car looks amazing. And Emery’s tunes are worth every penny. Two bolt ons, a boost controller and a tune in my X and it was a completely different car.
Sorry guys, I’ve definitely been slacking… but in other news, STM will have a new website layout soon!! That’s been slightly time consuming to say the least.
Anyhow, the STM RS will be an absolutely incredible masterpiece to behold. You thought Ricer was pretty… It’s in pieces and parts, but when she is done… this Evo will drop jaws… sitting still. This car is going to be awesome… er. {thumbup}
First up, we have completely designed and fabricated the cage here, in-house, at STM. The pictures do it more justice than any words I have could.
The rear parachute mount is last… then on to the paint
Ricer is overseeing the whole project.
The front core support is gone (Can I take a moment to mention this car already ran an 8.71?) and the piece dropped off only 17.05 pounds, but necessary for the overall design.
Sneak peek at the new STM Evo X Drag Brakes! {thumbup}
And the mountain of purple grows!
Skunk2 Manifold (STM Port Work)
Full Blown Throttle Body
Aeromotive Fuel Rail
Weldon Electric Fuel Pump
Weldon Filters
Weldon Regulator
Russell Purple Fittings
Dress Up Bolts
STM Hats and Brackets anodized purple for the Drag Brake Kits!
The entire idea of having this car done by the beginning of November was very optimistic to say the least. But never the less, we have the whole winter to build and test!
Looks incredible and I love the random sneak peaks of my X too haha. I think my X needs more purple too.
Raising the bar, yet again. I always love these threads.
That might be a possibility on the Kirkey, likely a “no” on the chromoly front end. We are responsible for enough people cutting up their cars to go lightweight… probably don’t need people hacking up their front ends on our account! But seriously
Couple new eye-candy bits:
Been a while! These guys have been working hard on very tedious details, and it’s looking like their hard work is starting to come together!
