Can the stock SR BOV be converted to an open to air BOV or does it have to be a recirc.? And if it can, is it possible to block off the stock location for it on the intercooler pipe and locate it somewhere else, like closer to the TB? I am new to this so dont flame to hard please. [-o<
You can block it off, and put another BOV in. Though you will have better spool up times if the BOV is closer to the turbo than the TOB, also less chance of making the turbo stop moving completely.
Ive never had the stock BOV so i cant say if it can vented to air, i dont think it can though.
Of course you can vent it to atmos, just take off the recirc hose and plug it. Why you would do this? It does make it sound any better.
