Last night(August 23rd) my Radar detector and deck where stolen from my car. I left home at 10pm and when I got home around 3am the radar detector and deck where gone. They where stolen from my talon at my house around the queen mary park area. The radar detector was a almost brand new passport 8500 x50 red display, and the deck was a pioneer cd one with led display and ipod connection. I will try find the exact model. The radar detector was and faceplate where both taken from my locked glove box they must have pried it open with a crowbar or something because it is fucked now. they ripped the deck out along with half the center console and took all my service records aswell! So if you see or hear anything about them LMK please.
The model of the deck was a Pioneer DEH-P3000IB if i remember correctly. It looks just like this

That sucks man. I will keep an eye out but its probably long gone by now.
I feel your pain… I had my brand new radar detector (a $950 Belltronics STi driver) and brand new 80gig iPod (worth $800 at the time) stolen from my truck’s glove box and console last fall… they just busted out the lock easy as pie (don’t trust your stuff in a GM). bastard even got the carrying case for the detector… anyone want to start a vigilante group to fight shit jackers and crackheads?
Ya I always try to take the detector and face plate in for the night but when I am going to be going back out I lock them in the glove box. I just fogot about them and did not end up going back out. Now I am never going to put them in the glove box not even if its for 5 minutes.
I ALWAYS clear out all my stuff after that incident. i was soo pissed off, and i still need a new detector
