Today i went with my work to the go carts at Stratotech, and man what a blast. We didnt get the shifter carts( dont even know if you can rent them) but the normal carts were defiantly fun enough. taking those corners at full throttle and the cart just hugs the road.
We went with a group of about 30 guys so we had 3 groups of 10 go 3 times each.
Id love to go again if we can get a big enough group of guys together before winter hits.
I think its something like 100$ a head for 30 laps. took us 4.5 hrs to get everyone done their laps.
It was an awesome go cart track and i defiantly recommend them to anyone.
Most fun i ever had on a go cart.
i work up this morning and my arms are killing me! we only raced 10 laps at a time, then let the other groups go out. its actually way funner if you do 5 laps at a time because that way everyone is way more aggressive to get to the front and everyone stays a bit closer together.
i think we need a 10 people group to get on the track. i bet we have around a month before the snow hits. sounds like an early winter this year.
Also, some of the guys timed each other, and it took on average 1.06min to complete a 1km lap. so you can imagine taking a corner at about 60km/hr. those things handled like the champ cars. It took me a few min to relearn how to drive my car on the way home. It felt like a big SUV compared to the go carts.
this is what the track looks like incase you have never seen it.
if someone could move this to the events section, maby we can get it rolling.
