Stuck with a 99 A6 need help with suspension

I recieved this 99 A6 as agift from my folks ,great car with the autostick which I rarely use but I am in search of bettter handleing out of this pig I know its not the right platform I plan right off the back on repalcing struts .Any suggestions on what kind and does any body know if there are sway bars upgrades.I searched Neuspeed but they have shit other than a Ecu mod which I am not intrested in.I am not looking to auto cross or rally X this beast just a better street machine.

Go with H-sport sway bars. Huge improvement.

I think the my self having the 2.8 shouldnt make much of a diffrence on suspension vs the 4.2 liter ?

Big difference in spring rates. I have a 4.2 A6 and there is pretty much no proper performance spring/struts available for the car. I went with H&R coilovers. You have a bunch of options with a 2.8L. I hear good things from the A6 guys using Eibach.
