aight, downloaded that program.
I think i have this sasser virus shit. Problem is, im trying to follow the steps to get rid of it, but it keeps telling me i dont have admin privelages so it wont let me install the files i need to fix. WTF? Any tips?
log into the pc as admin⌠not knappie or princess or whitey⌠but administrator. then youâll be fine⌠if you are on a home domain, you can add that user domain/user to the control panel/users and groups⌠then youâll have full admin rights.
a lot of hte time itâs just that virus BS talking about rights, not the actual pc. you should boot up, press f8, load safe mode and run the removalâŚ
you could just blow away your profile (c:\docs and sets\knappie) , just copy all that (legit stuff⌠ie my documents/ anything worth it) into another folder called âdickwadâ and now you have a username âdickwadâ that you can log in as⌠just donât copy the temp interweb files / temp folder (located in c:\docs and sets\knappie\local settings) and you should be fine.
make sure you scan sys32, seems like that is where sasser is saving itself.
