u think an old vw is a pain in the ass??? try an old audi. it’s like a vw but much more complicated. still strangly addicting.
and if u think vdub people are like canadians, u should see the canadian vw enthusiasts. at waterfest (the largest VW/audi gathering in the world) they can be easily spotted because they are the only people in jersey drinking blue chanting “GO LEAFS GO!!!” in july. no joke.
as for jettax’s trans blowing up a few times, it seems like any time a vw trans is opened up it just invites tragedy down the road. most of the people that i know that have had some type of transmission work on their vw break it again a few months after. good used trannys are a better and more inexpensive option IMO.
