This just in, my 17x9.5+15 SBC rpf1s are sending condolences to your single 17x10 wheel and are wondering what happened to the rest of the wheels and to your car or if it was ever on any car for that matter.

If you’re building a car and make it look like shit on purpose, that just plain makes no sense to me, now if you can’t afford to finish of the look portion of it, fine, but to make matters worse you do stupid shit like run -10 camber just to fit a wheel… and then cruise around like that and think you’re hot. My car is banged up until I install the new fenders and such but I don’t purposely make it MORE banged up to imitate that stupid look of being banged up. It’s not very hard to pick up zipties and spray paint from canadian tire and I could slam my car too but it would fuck up my suspension and driving experience. Again makes zero sense to me even if you are claiming to be ‘drifters’ to be doing shit like that… because quite frankly it’s all ‘show’ and exaggerated… but not ferrari hot show… just… show… it makes no sense to me and it’s not because I’m 25.5 and you’re 21 (oh I’m old omg… too old lol). Bullshit, if i recall months and months and months back when you got your car, the first thing you did was lower it, install rims and flat paint it in your garage and posted that shit in the post your latest car pics thread. I pointed it out it suddenly was met with excuses of ‘function’ while my car apparently wasn’t function. I mean woah my fenders went to crap when attempting to pull/roll because they were already cracked and just bondo’d but I managed to fit wide wheels and tires and the car drives amazing, but you run -10 camber with big wheels and no tires and I’m the insane with less function? Again I call bs on you simply because I remember months back you posting before and after pix of what you did to your car. So you made your car look like a poser but you do go actually drifting now. Just things not quite in order. No one is denying that you guys drift now… what we are talking about is the ‘style’.
Likewise I saw pix of the e30 as well, it wasn’t that banged up, but it also got flat painted, lowered and cambered out/stretched tires and ziptied bodyparts. I read the blog. I could justify the front lip falling off and then getting ziptied or something but still i wouldn’t consider that safe, and then somehow it’ll stay like that and never get ripped off… again to me more so posing than anything else.
You can drift and look good, and you can drift and NOT do all these things. What I hate about ‘drift culture’ in itself is all the bs in between… otherwise I respect the likes of say briggs and the car sasha built for him as well as briggs getting better at what he does… or koguchi and his s13 hatch… that he’s had for so so long and through so so many iterations and crashes. Blatently the definitions are something you’ve yet to grasp. I respect brigg’s car… but its a very business-oriented car. There is little-to-no personality/personal style to it. Which is WHAT THIS THREAD WAS ABOUT.
So basically what your ‘style’ proposes is to spend <5k to make yourself look more than you actually are. I don’t think that car is 120k+ otherwise he’d be driving another car altogether first and foremost, and even if it was, quite a good obseravtion that the car is calm and simple, yet does so much more. On the other hand your car with blue neons says “look at me mother fucker” screaming out his lungs while in a parking lot. On the other hand briggs’ car would obviously get attention too and for valid reason.
Instead you would favour something in the free to <1k range that has:
-50 liters of sparkle, metallic mixed or flat paint or vynl with that style.
-As much neon green, purple, pink, bright colors of the rainbow
-neons
All of which can be purchased in your local dollar store or ebay or made in china outlet like pacific mall.

Something like this has style and character and will be a classic for years to come while something like the above will get junkyard’ when the guy grows up. The ferrari might be old but it has classic styling. From an artistic perspective most of the banged up cars could be passed off as HR Giger or Salvador Dali, but even then they don’t compare… it’s reminiscent of artists who take junk and put a structure together and hope that someone will spend a million because it’s ‘unique’.
