Subaru MAF in an sr/rb swap?

Looking to see if anyone else has ever used a Subaru MAF for their sr/rb swap, just trying to find out the wiring pin-out for the subaru maf. Its out of a 95 impreza turbo if that helps.

I was told that they were the same MAF as an R33 but it was one of the importers that told me that and alot of the time they dont know shit. You have an R33 MAF why are you looking for a subaru one?

I just found this page, and according to the picture, the z32 has 5 connections. http://www.meggala.com/partcss.htm …I always thought it just had 4…

Subaru MAFS in a nissan… why? :?

p.s: east coast owns this thread

because thats what i was given with my swap. i was told it will work and perform on the same level as the z32 maf.

If it worked just like a Z32 one then there would have been alot of other people running it.

Why even waste your time trying to figure out how to properly wire this MAF up when there is a good chance it wont even run properly? Are you going standalone? What are you using to compensate for the MAF if not?

No, I’m running stock everything except an MBC pushing 10-12 psi for this summer. Everybody keeps talking about compensation, but I’ve never seen how its done. I just thought you added the z32 maf and that was it. How do you compensate?

Whoa man, you need to step back for a second and do some reading then because you are going to either blow up your new motor or have some serious problems straight from the beginning.

The Z32 MAF flows more air then the stock MAf therefore you have fool your stock ecu into providing the proper amount of fuel to match the air for the Z32 maf, if you dont you will run lean and kaboom.

The best way to do this is buy a SAFC and use it to compensate for the extra air.

Personally if I were you I would use a stock MAF and get your car running right before modifying anything. Are you swapping in an S13 or S14 SR or KA-T?

R32 RB20DET, and thanks, I didnt realize that you had to compensate electronically like that, Therefore I will be selling this maf and purchasing an R32 MAF. I’ll have to make this do until I can afford some sort of stand-alone.
