Suggestion for an event!

For when its warm out again, or perhaps if we can find a heated area…

An install day… where peeps can bring their cars they need help working on…
Say somebody needs a stereo, and doesnt know where to start.
I want to install my intake.

Maybe somebody has suspension bushings, header, SR20, lol.

Just a good day for people to get all the help, tips, and advice they need for working on the upgrades or whatever.

Have a BBQ set-up, maybe some of the sponsors can come to sell stuff to people who don’t have a current project.

Just an idea!

Jeff

My car is parked and not leaving my garage. Jeff we have to talk about that intake, i think your filter isnt compatible with it.

I’m thinking this would be for springtime.

You suck!
I’ll make it compatible…

Yup, i think its been discussed before. Problem is, insurance if someone gets hurt. So it can’t be at a shop. Also, tools, we need those, and shops aren’t likely to hand theirs out. Hoist? Jsut a lot of things that will be needed. ALthough, I like the idea.

Couldn’t you do it somewhere like speedworks where you’d rent out the entire garage and use their tools for the entire day?

As for the liability, make everyone sign waivers in front of witnessess and video cameras stating that under no circumstances will speedworks be liable if anything bad happens. Hell, if Ticketmaster can get away with it on the back of your hockey/football ticket, you should damn sure be able to get away with it in this instance.

But most shops refuse to do something like this, regardless of waiver signing. They don’t want tools to go missing or get damaged. Plust, to have a proper waiver, it needs to be made up by a lawyer so that you are covering all bases.

I was referring to the normal shops. This facility is designed and run just for the use of renting a bay. So if you would like to PAY to do this, by all means, fire it up. Not many shops will do it for free, or without hassle.

Im personally not interested.

I actually have used the facility at Desro Auto. Its $15 for a hoist bay plus $2 for the use of air tools. You don’t have to take anything but the part that you want to change!! Just a normal bay is $10 i believe and again $2 for the use of air tools. But to do some major work, whomever is doin’ it would have to rent the bay for a few days I’m sure!! They have other rates for that!!

Oh ya, if you want to paint your car yourself, they have bay for that too, with a baker!!
