We're Doing It - Sequence-Garage You Work You Save

Aright so i’ve decided im going to try this out for the winter months for SON240sx Members only to start.

It’s cold.

You’re freezing your ass off.

You dont want to work on your car but you know it needs new brakes.

You either:

A) dont change your brakes, run out of pad on the highway and smash into an innocent BEAUTIFUL 20 year old who tells you she is single but only likes guys with 300zx calipers

OR

B) come to SG pay 25$ per hour to do your own work, use the hoist and tools and change your brakes, narrowly miss hitting the cute girl (who unfortunatly cant drive), have her come out of her car to tell you how much she thanks your quick reflexes and then you get to talking and finally that night you show her what else you’re good at

SO

25$ an hour to use the hoist, tools and space. By appointment only.

Obviously i’ll help you out where you’re having trouble and give free advice, but the second i touch a tool I start to charge. I do run a shop afterall.

The RULES:

A) No idiots. If you don’t know your shit don’t come. This isn’t a kindergarden school if i can see you dont know what you’re doing i’ll kindly ask you to leave.

B) No liability. You accept the fact that you are fully liable for your actions and if you burn down the building you’re paying for it (i’ll have legal disclaimer for this)

C) 10$ hosit setup and lesson even if you’re only gonna be at the shop for 15min i have to show you how to use the hoist and set the car up for you because theres no way i want any cars killing any son members

D) any missing tools you buy for me, only they have to be snap-on

Now this deal is for Son guys only, and im just going to try it out inbetween jobs I have to help you guys out, i know how much of a bitch it is to work in a freezing garage with no tools and cold concrete, and how many times ive wished there was a shop i could take my car for 1-2 hours to do something small

I will also consider longer periods with tow for example if you prebook 2 weeks maybe we could arrange something for an SR swap, i’ll tow your car there you do your swap at X amount per day whatever you can’t do i will do for you and charge etc.

These are just different ideas I have to revolutionize the typical shop mentality since now a days everyone knows something about cars and everyone wants to be involved with their own car, and I fully support working on your own car and learning. it makes you appreciate your car that much more.

If you guys have input please post it i am open for ideas etc. As far as liabilities i’ve talked to my lawyer already and have stuff in teh works for that don’t worry.

If you are interested or would like to book a time please PM. Mods if you dont lock you get a special 15$hr rate! hahaha jk PM me if there is any problem with this thread

OH YA

ANOTHER RULE - YOU CLEAN AS YOU WORK!!

FEB 1st - FEB 14th Is mine bitches!

I’m brining my fairlady there, 1st time I’ve ever brought my car to a shop, only shop I would bring my car to.

Kickass Idea Sasha

badass idea, only shop i would trust my car at ever.

and i dont even trust it at honda.

The problem with 90% of the mechanics out there is that they don’t give a shit. Being a mechanic isn’t about liking cars, it’s a job like any other job.

It’s awesome that some mechanics or shop owners aren’t like that, but it’s rare. lol

Awesome idea, if I lived in Toronto, I’d totally take advantage of this.

any certified mechanics at this garage?

nah they are all too busy turning down races to girls because they dont know how to shift or launch

what does a certified mechanic have to do with anything when you are doing your own work on your own car?

This Is so cool your living my dream for me haha  , unfortnately i cant bring my car to work in ur shop (which would be amazing) because it isnt a rolling chasis at the moment but maybe one day, id love to come visit your shop tho n meet u and whoever else is working there

nah they are all too busy turning down races to girls because they dont know how to shift or launch[/quote]

it was a simple question, why so touchy?

im not saying theres anything wrong with, and im not trying to discredit sasha.

My mechanic that i trust before anyone else isnt certified, it really comes down to who you trust.

sooner or later someone is going to start asking questions if something goes really wrong.

:fnf2:

sash what kinda insurance do you have? are they willing to cover work like this even with the disclaimer?

i jus ask cus ive been going through this with one of my franchised shops.

I got my hoist certificate…do you still have to train me?, because i could really use a new floor

Interesting idea.

Am I allowed? I dont drive a 240…

You got wireless internet there too? I’ll be reading DIY’s and Write-ups as i’m working…

I know how to use a hoist and its safety rules from high school course and co-op, do you still have to train me?

I need to install my new springs and camber arms soon.

I’m going to train everyone just for my own peace of mind, if you know more than me about hoists please feel free to teach me, but i still need to make sure its being done at least at my standard (i.e. the car doenst move on the fucking hoist!)

Every car is allowed as long as you’re a son240 guy

This is a sick idea, I will be in your shop this winter doing heavy stuff. This is definately going to take off with the experienced boys who know their shit because they will be saving time and money hence they can work their tools fast.

Another good move by Sequence Garage.

+1!

bueler? bueler?

Good question…

I do not even allow Darian or Matt to come into the shop and use it at their lesuire… if they need something done then I will glady do it for them but based on Insurance/Liability issues we will not allow anyone into the shop to use any of the equipment.

yea… im not trying to be a dick… its just there could be serious problems if he has a sonling smushed under an s13
