Super Bowl Betting

Indy is giving Chicago 7 points.
The over/under is 49.

Thoughts?

I’d take Chicago and the under.

i think its the other way around…they are giving the colts 7. i may be wrong?

Colts are favored by 7.

colts, over

your right

colts FTW

The Super Bowl line is a trap line. Not worth betting. Anyone that bets it is most likely an amateur. It’s cool if, in theory, you would take one team or the other with the spread, but if you bet money on that 7 line, you’re in trouble.

Now the over/under, thats a different story. I’ll take the under on that, probably put 4 units on it.

Super Bowl is always neat the bet some of the stranger things that are going on. For example, the over/under on the length of the National Anthem is 1min, 44 seconds. I wouldn’t bet that because I don’t know a damn thing about it, but thats a neat bet.

Another neat one is will Peyton throw for more yards than Montana did in SB SVI (he had 157 yards). Over/under on that is 95 more yards.

Edit - Line just changed. Colts are now +6.5 -106, Bears -6.5 -102, over/under is at 47.5

weather is supposed to be 70 and rainy, last i heard. i don’t think there’s going to be a passing game. based on that, i think the lack of a passing game will hurt indy MUCH more than it’ll hurt the Bears.

and i wouldn’t bet on the game at all. it’s too odd of a game. i have no problem betting on a steelers game because i know a lot more about the players, the weather, etc… i know dick about the Colts and Bears.

I never bet t he steelers. Hometown bias kills bets.

I would like to bet I’m sleeping by halftime.

Get over here!

i’ll put $ on the bears and under.

Scorpion, from Mortal Kombat, is that you?

why yes, yes it is

i like the colts better but im goin wit the bears

I bet the midwest team wins.

Didn’t place any over/unders, but me and Amanda hit a poll for the final. $30 in, $250 out…isn’t too bad…

i bet on a few things.

Coin Toss Heads
Harrison for Game MVP, longshot but I figured maybe he was due
Bears with the spread
Over on the field Goals

true story, there was a bet in Vegas, that the Chicago Bears would not complete 1 pass. 2000:1 odds
