^i will be getting that car from you. hopefully there is a lot there that i can use
So now that i’ve got the suspension and 4x100 worked out i think i’ve deicided o what to do with the motor situation. I’m goign to keep the b18 and run nitrous. It’ll keep my budget tight and give me some extra power, plus it won’t take up very much room in the engine bay. Plan is to get the whole car with the engine in it over to Variant Fab or CRC and re-do the motor mounts and do some sort of front engine cage on it it stiffen it up and add some re-inforcement if there ever was an accident (since i’ll ditchign the front bumper). After the motor mounts get re-done i’ll pull the engine and start going through it, likely paying someone to give it a once over, powder coating it, etc. While that is out i’ll shave the bay.
For now, till i start on the motor mounts i’m still on the suspension. BC racing make a set of coilovers i’m going to get, the hard part now is trying to find a set of poly bushings for the suspension parts, since everything is old and worn. worst case would be some poly and a lathe, and a bunch of time, but for now i have my fingers crossed
putting this here so i don’t lose it

sounds like a good plan. I really cant wait to see how it all comes together.
plans sound sweet. 4x100 and discs is a no brainer
what do you have planed for wheels and tires?
have crc make some custom traction bars too
i don’t know what i’m doing for wheels and tires yet, i like the rotas on the silver one in my first post but i haven’t spent any time looking. From what i’d read they will most likely be 14-15"rims, 5-6"wide
16" wheels will give you a lot more choices as far as rubber goes.
There are plenty of choices for 14’s and 15’s. 15" is probably the winning choice unless you are gonna slam this thing on its balls. 195 40’s or 195 45’s will be perfect. A friend of mine has a set if 165 45 15 he is trying to dump cheap if you want some stretch.
16’s will look donk on this little car.
I’m a “form over function” kinda guy though…take my advice with a grain of salt.
Depending on final color, a set of LS webs would look cool done black or gunmetal. Im a big fan of stock Honda wheel designs. Or Rpf1s.
I’m stuck on RS’s. 3 piece wheels make building a set of wheels with perfect offset brainless. If you decide to go this route, I have a set of pretty rare BBS Strosek centers with RS barrels and lips that may work for this car. They are stashed in my pile of BBS parts that will eventually be unburied by the TLC Hoarders crew.
Panasports…two thumbs up.
RPF1…although I see them WAY to often, still like them.
Keep up the updates…I really like this thing.
that car is the tits! keep up the good work. it’s such a joy to see a car same age as me.
I think those rims would go very well with this car
they will look great on your ride but your pocket will not like it. i have seen a legit set of 3 piece bbs sell for over $1500. if you think about it was it worth the price?
$1500??? That’s cheap as fuck.
When you start throwing around gold bolts and gold center caps w/red logo’s…you can spend $700 on just those accessories.
Add slant lips or anything over 2" lips and hold onto your wallet.
Is it worth it?..fuck yes.
Are there coilovers available? What are you thinking for suspension?
I traded a set of volks for this car and cash. The volks I traded sell for 975 each.
1500 is not a bad price for a set of legit rims if you ask me.
BC racing makes a set of coilovers, that’s what I’m going to go with
Things i need to finish my 4x100 swap:
rear 87 prelude si pads
rear 90 prelude si discs (240mm)
rear 92-95 ss civic brake lines
front 80-83 civic 4x100 hubs
front wheel bearings 73-83 civic
front brake rotors 88-91 civic
front brake calipers and pads 88-91 civic
front caliper brackets 88-91 civic
SS brake lines
i’m going to hold off on calipers and rotors for the time being, i’d like to see if i can find a willwood kit for all four corners
Are those captive rotors? Can’t quite tell from the pics, but I just got some flashbacks to doing wheel bearings and rotors on my car.
